Feature:
all the necessary knobs that you would need in a dynamics processing unit.

Quality:
mine is beat up, but the sound it clean

Value:
this is the best compressor for the money

Desirability:
this product is a sleeper, it is generally disliked by the audio tweeks, but for house music it is the BOMB!

Sound:
Punchy, tight sound. Probably bad for rock music or a live band. GREAT for house music, techno. Used by Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk, Patrick Alavi, High Caliber and many other house music groups.

Support:
never dealt with tech support

Overall:
overall, this is probably the best sounding dynamics processor you can own without spending upwards of $1000

Well-made to last

Value:
Cheapest and yet the best compressor in its range

Desirability:
Want it in no time. Why not.

Sound:
The sond delivered after compression is very neutral and clean with GOOD DYNAMICS and clarity. No doubt this compressor is the best of its kind. TS inputs/outputs are perfect for insert mixers with additional sidechains. Alesis is good!

Ease of Use:
Easy to learn in using the functions in no time.

Support:
Good.

Overall:
Good enough for studio and live usage, this compressor delivers wonders as the sound produced is what you want in transparency and neutrality. Alesis did it all. No regrets for this lightweight platform that is made to serve its master for good.

i have used a few compressors and noise gates, and this surpasses all. With outputs to patch into PA, you can tweak your signal to be whatever you want, and if you arent miking a cabinet, you can be sure that the sound that is getting recorded sounds the same as that out of your cabinet.

Style of Music: loud, fast, and heavy

Feature:
Great. Very easyo to work with and personalize/tweak.

Quality:
Alesis has yet to let me down with any studio equipment thus far.

Value:
Cheap, sturdy, reliable, and effective.

Desirability:
It balances perfectly the utiliterian and flash factors. Alot of cool lights and knobs, but they actually do things.

Sound:
Great for what I use it on. I only use the noise gate feature through my Boss ns-2 and a 5150 (I and II). It kills ALL of the unwanted noise and dead air while the Boss gets rid of feedback.

Overall:
havent dealt with too many others to call this the best yet.

Sound:
The sound is top of the line- I have worked with many other ompressors.... Phonic, Mackie, and DBX. Alesis is the BEST!

Style of Music: many styles

Location: louisiana

I like the rms mode on guitars. Peak mode can
tame a dynamic singer with little artifacts. Dbx
266xl is a little sweeter, especially on vox.
