Unplug and get back to your acoustic roots with the Washburn WD26S acoustic guitar, which is made of solid cedar to produce a warm, mellow tone.

The Washburn WD-26S is a traditional style dreadnought acoustic with a strong connection to guitars from Washburn's past. The WD-26S has a solid cedar top as opposed to the more common choice of spruce. The solid cedar soundboard produces a warm, mellow tone that is slightly darker than spruce. It also comes with upgraded cosmetics including abalone inlays around the sound hole and in the headstock logo. Also features maple binding.

Blues and fingerstyle artists will be well pleased with how responsive this instrument is to a light touch and strummers will find the dynamic range of this guitar a perfect alternative. The back and sides are constructed from rosewood. The slim taper mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with traditional dot inlays and will feel comfortable in your fretting hand. The Washburn WD-26S Acoustic Guitar is a great value and is perfect whether you are strumming at home, on the beach in the studio or on stage.

This is the best guitar I've ever owned. I've owned Breedlove and Taylor guitars. Every guitar and bass that I've ever owned I've had to setup right out of the box. The Washburn was perfect. The cedar and rosewood combination give this guitar a very nice tone, with an array of overtones. Normally I don't care about finishes, but this one is very nice, better than the picture makes it out to be. The rosewood is almost purple in certain light and the cedar top is more of a honey. Maybe I got lucky. This guitar is excellent and the price is right!
