A Must-Have for DAW Recording!

Setting up an amplifier and a microphone can be a somewhat tedious process, especially when you're short on time and space. Your SansAmp Para Driver DI provides awesome tube amp-like warmth and natural response in compact fashion. Whether you're tracking bass, electric guitar, or acoustic guitar, this DI box will bring an alluring supercharge to your signal for a wide range of tracking scenarios.

Sweepable Semi-Parametric EQ

Three-band EQ is essential to having tonal control over your signal. A nice added bonus on your Para Driver DI box is the mid shift control that allows you to sweep your mid frequency dial from 160 Hz to 3 kHz. You can scoop out your mids to sit around a vocal, or push them for a little extra punch and bite. The Para Driver DI's EQ will help you find that sweet spot in just a few simple knob tweaks.

Drive and Blend Controls

read more The SansAmp Para Driver DI has a drive control on the top right to bring some grit to the table. The breakup has a pretty wide range for you to play around with, and there's also a blend control to mix your dry signal in with the affected signal. This will thicken the sound out nicely, giving you more of a natural feel. You also have the option to utilize the 1/4" parallel output if you want to split your signal to go into a separate channel "dry."

Rumble Filter and Air Switch

When you plug your acoustic-electric guitar into your SansAmp Para Driver DI box, be sure to check out the rumble filter and the air switch. The air switch brings in a touch of high-end sparkle to brighten things up. Your rumble filter switch will take care of any unwanted low-end mud that might sneak into your mix.

Tech 21 SansAmp Para Driver DI Version 2

This floor version of the RPM rackmount provides the same detailed tone shaping possibilities for any signal source. It is particularly useful with acoustic, electric and bass guitars, and upright bass, either direct to a mixing console or with an instrument amplifier. The Para Driver DI gives your instrument a natural warmth and presence, as if miking it through a tube pre-amp. The SansAmp circuitry eliminates the harsh, unnatural harmonics of piezo pickups, while the Drive control offers some tasteful edge -- just a little or over-the-top.

Version 2 has exactly the same tonality and functionality with the addition of two features: Rumble Filter and Air. The Rumble Filter removes unwanted sub-sonic frequencies that cause boominess and audible handling noises associated with acoustic guitars. The Air button adds top-end clarity and sparkle to acoustics.

Features:

- Active tone controls with 12dB of cut or boost
- Sweepable semi-parametric EQ
- 1/4-inch 4.7 meg Ohm instrument level input
- 1/4-inch and XLR outputs with selectable levels
- Parallel, unaffected output to run a dry signal to a separate channel
