For the bass player who loves variety, the Tech21 SansAmp Bass Driver is programmable, with various amp models and spaces.

For bassists who like to switch it up on stage, the SansAmp Bass Driver Deluxe is the ultimate live tool for the bass-hopping, preset-stomping player. The Deluxe is all about fast delivery of monster Tech 21 bass tones in the fray of a live performance. Dual inputs enable two instruments to be on-line and ready to go with a pop-free selector. You can program three custom tones for each input, or use all six for a single instrument. You can also program the FX loop to engage your favorite effect with a particular setting and the Deluxe will bring it every time that preset is selected.

The fat, funky tones of the SansAmp Bass Driver series are legendary. With an all-analog signal path, two inputs, six presets, a programmable effect loop, and parallel/tuner out, the stage-optimized Deluxe is all that with cheese and pickles.

As a bass player it is always very difficult to get the "TONE" out of a stomp box that make you feel like you cranking through high end bass cabs and amps. I use in ear monitors 95% of the time so having a large stage rig is pointless unless it is being mic'd, which is almost never. So why drag all that 200 lbs of bass gear around, because we are afraid of losing our bass tone. Not any longer, this pedal has brought life back into my In Ear's as if I were standing in front of my external bass rig (cabs and amps). I am always hesitate on pedal due to the "hype" of most of them and there stupid names, but this one is straigt forward and accurate to my bass itself. It has A/B channels but I use it more as a mute channel on the B by running into my tuner instead of the tuner out jack. This pedal has programmable features but I dial in the tone that best replicates my bass true sound, click, click, saved, then use my bass features for the tones changes. Seriously, if you need to go direct into the FOH, then this is the most covenient and hassle free way to go. Though my bass heads have great DI's but hey also have about 100 lbs along with it that nobody is going to hear anyway.I rate the quality a little low due to the battery compartment. It feels like I'm throwing the battery into an open hole. The battery is only a backup anyway cause this can run off Phantom Power as well. I haven't used Manf support so I rated it in the middle.
