Much like the other reviewer on here, I got this while trading up for a Seagull. The Seagull was a great guitar, but there were some notes that were perpetually dead. For the money, it was a great guitar, but I found myself wanting more emotional expression. After looking at Martin DGT1 (or something like that, the unlacuqered D1 that's less expensive) and playing it, I thought I liked that guitar, until I tried this one. This Taylor blew the Martin, the Eastman, and another pricy guitar out of the water. The two biggest perks of this guitar are the feel and the sound. I know that not everyone pays attention to the weight distribution of a guitar, but this one is extremely easy to sit comfortably with, and the resonance is really spectacular. I also tried a $2,600 Taylor, and liked this one better because it was easier to play. The more nuanced players out there might want to go a little higher on the totem pole, but for the average music player of any skill range that isn't playing in a symphony orchestra, this guitar wil save you taking out a second mortgage, and will pleasantly surprise you every time you pull it out of the case. The case is really nice, as well.
