Silvertone 604MH Reissue Parlor Acoustic Guitar

Silvertone is bringing back the classic tone and comfortable, compact shape of the original Silvertone 604 student guitar, but with an all-mahogany body.

Before the birth of Silvertone electrics, the original Silvertone acoustic guitars graced the American landscape from the 40's through the 70's.

The unplugged beauty and raw acoustic sound of Silvertone acoustics was heard around campfires, inside living rooms, and around college campuses nationwide. Less known to many, Silvertone acoustic guitars can be heard on some of the most historically significant recordings in Rock n Roll history.

Like the Silvertone Classic electric series, the reissue Silvertone acoustics feature the same look and vibe of the original, with 21st Century build quality. Silvertone kept the old 'mojo' while making the guitars appealing to modern players. From higher quality tone woods, to replacing steel rods with truss rods, SIlvertone respectfully revamped these guitars from the ground up.

Hailing back to the year 1961, the Silvertone 604 was a student guitar for an entire generation. But, times change, and they liked the 604 so much that Silvertone 'upped the ante' so to speak, and took the 604 from a student level guitar to a serious player's instrument. Silvertone changed the old 'hard wood' body to a solid Mahogany top with Mahogany back and sides, and opted for real Rosewood vs. an 'Ebonized' fingerboard. The small Parlor size body makes it the perfect travel guitar, and yes, there is a version (the 604E) with onboard electronics.
