Before you even get to play them, you see them. The color is Amber Fade and they are a beautiful kit and the finish is amazing! Setting them up took me a little time because there are so many different ways to adjust them (especially the rack toms). But once you find what works for you, they are locked into that configuration and you never have to touch them again. The sound is great. The maple shells give it a very rich sound and depending on your preference in heads, you'll wind up with a very "punchy" sound with warm overtones. And these drums project very well, even witout being all mic-ed up. The drums and hardware are heavy duty, no scrimping on details or quality. Probably the last set of drums I'll ever own..........or need.

Musical Background:

Playing drums for 50 years, professionally for 43 years.

Musical Style:

Classic rock.
