The Schecter Diamond-P Custom Bass is armed with a Schecter custom Super Rock humbucker pickup at the bridge and a Monster Tone II pickup in the neck position you'll have full control over tonal approaches.

With classic tones to aggressive modern sounds, the Schecter Diamond P Custom Electric Bass is becoming a new choice for touring and recording bassists. Coil-splitting the Super Rock pickup extends the range of the Diamond P custom bass into vintage revisits.

"Best Instrument I've Ever Played"
Sound: Warm, deep, powerful, smooth. All of the above, all at once. The bridge pickup provides beautiful growl while the neck pickup adds fatness and bottom. I literally did not put this down until I placed it in my trunk to take it home. Iron fist in a velvet glove. Feature: I wish it came with black hardware and a body-maching painted headstock, but those are small cosmetic details. Between the ability to blend pickups and the coil tap, I can get any sound I want. Ease of Use: Came with fantastic action, the sound variability is pretty easy to figure out. It plays like butter and it seems impossible to get bad sounds out of it. It was very easy to tweak the setup to my liking (the action was actually a shade too low for me out of the box). Quality: Still new so I don't know about lastability but my other Schecters have certainly held up well. Fit, finish, and initial set up were fantastic. Value: Sounded better to me than any bass I've ever played, which includes high end Tobias, Yamaha, and even Alembic. Compares very favorably to a high end Music Man, IMO. I picked this one over Tobias, Fender, Gibson, and other Schecters that I was trying out that day. The Wow Factor: I didn't like the look of it (it's a little too "old school" looking for me). I still give this an "8" because the feel of the instrument is superb. It fit me like a glove. I have smaller hands for a bass player, however, so this may vary for you. Overall: I was blown away by this instrument and it is now my main ax. I only expect it to be replaced by the forthcoming 5 string version.
