To ensure pristine, full-range sound, the XP40i employs a 6-inch woofer and a 1-inch high frequency driver. The unit is powered by a 40 watt Class D amplifier which is perfectly matched to the drivers for high efficiency and low current draw. Since this amplifier is also extremely lightweight, it enhances the portability of the system. The XP40i even has a convenient integral top handle to make it easier to transport. Thanks to a host of features and accessories that are both comprehensive and practical, the XP40i truly is an all-in-one solution.

Ideal for any number of vocal applications. An iPod dock with level control also gives you the option of incorporating songs or other MP3s into your performance. Sound: Excellent sound quality and SPL output for the size and battery power. Compared it to the Roland CM30. CM30 had slightly tighter mids and clearer highs, but the XP40 had better lower frequency range. I use it primarily as a PA (music and movies) for small to medium rooms with 20-30 people. Have also used to project music in an open field in a pinch. It is the perfect companion for summer camps that have versatile needs and limited electrical connectivity. Feature: The only feature it lacks is RCA inputs, but RCA-to-3.5mm adapters are readily available to use the Aux input. The ipod dock is brilliant. Ease of Use: Simple, straight-forward controls. Only 2 EQ controls, but what do you expect from something this small and portable. Quality: Solid Construction. No unwanted vibrations at high SPLs. Water-resistant housing. Value: It is a solid investment, even if you only use it as an ipod dock. The quality for the price is excellent.
