RF Venue CP Beam Folding High Gain Helical Antenna

No longer available at zZounds
This helical antenna extends the range and improves the reception of any UHF wireless mic or IEM system! The CP Beam folds down to only 3" thick for storage.

The CP Beam antenna is a high-performance, directional UHF antenna in a lightweight, portable package. Unlike other bulky helicals that require flight cases, the CP Beam is quickly deployed and stowed -- fitting in a 2RU rack drawer and weighing just 2.5 lbs. 9 dBd of gain makes it an ideal choice for long range applications. Widely used on major concert tours for monitoring and comms, the CP Beam connects to any brand IEM, wireless mic, or UHF intercom.

Reduce IEM dropouts with circularly polarized waves.

Circularly polarized helical antennas like the CP Beam have become gold standards for live sound transmit applications, like in-ear monitors.

Make range your ally.

With 9 dBd of forward-facing gain, the CP Beam provides high isolation of signals inside its beam-width, and high rejection of signals from outside. That means a serious boost in useable range on any UHF device. Production sound mixers, in particular, love the CP Beam. It goes the distance between cart and boom, improves link quality on timecode syncs, and takes up less space in carts.

What is the CP BEAM designed for?

The CP Beam provides all of the benefits of helical antennas in a lightweight, durable, folding form-factor. Helical or "multi-polarized" antennas provide higher gain due to their coverage pattern (narrow beam width), and superior protection against interference due to the circular polarization of the antenna element.

What type of equipment will the CP Beam work with?

The CP read more Beam antenna is compatible with UHF wireless microphones, UHF in-ear monitors, UHF IFBs and UHF and 900 MHz intercoms.

How many CP BEAMS are needed per receiver?

Some of the benefits of circular polarization may be achieved by using only one CP Beam per diversity receiver, while leaving the stock whip/dipole attached to the other diversity branch. However, where budget and space allows, two CP Beams should be used for exceptional range improvement and dropout protection.

Can I use the CP Beam with IEMs?

Yes. The CP Beam is perfectly suited for any brand UHF broadcast band (470-698 MHz) in-ear monitor that accepts external antennas at the transmitter.

Consumer Alert
Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. For more information, call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (TTY: 1-888-TELL-FCC) or visit the FCC's wireless microphone website at www.fcc.gov/cgb/wirelessmicrophones
