QuikLok RS514 14-Space Steel Studio Rack Reviews

"Useful, but not as heavy duty as the pictures might suggest."
Feature:
Casters and cage nuts are included. You're better off inserting the cage nuts with the ears sideways. Think out your layout in advance; cage nuts are not easy on your fingers, so get a little practice inserting and removing them.

Quality:
It's obviously made in China. The gauge is on the light side, and welds are minimal, so I beefed the angle up with cap screws and lock nuts. Extra work, but I can sleep easier now. Not a fan of the casters either, so I got some stemless casters on a well-known auction site. If you do the same, get 8mm bolts (25mm length is enough) and 5/16 x 1/2" nylon spacers to center them. IMO, the Tam Recanti stuff is much higher quality.

Value:
It certainly reduced the footprint of my studio, so it was worth it in that regard.

Desirability:
Good looks, unless you get really close to it. There were some scuffs in shipping on the finish, nothing major.

Sound:
It's a rack. The question is ridiculous.

Ease of Use:
Holds units securely, but if you've got anything heavy, you'll have to create and fasten your own rear supports.

Support:
Never contacted QuikLok for much of anything.

Overall:
I'll be buying a couple more, but still plan on altering them along the lines I mentioned.
