Great for beginners! The Peavey® International Series II is a step up from the original Peavey International Series offering a new lug design and an eight lug snare drum for more precise tuning. In addition, the tom arms have been upgraded to 7/8 in. tubing for increased stability. Additional features include a clamp-style seat on the drum throne, 12 lug toms, a 16 lug bass drum and a 6-1/2 in. deep snare drum.

"Good for a start up"

Sound: It sounds prety good but i only us it as a practice kit with damping pads, the cymbals suck, I changed them for Sabian B8's and added a crash. Quality: The high hat stand is poor and the bass pedal squeaks like a mouse with a trapped tail but a bit of oil sorts it out Value: one of the best first kit prices but I live in the UK so.... Manufacturer Support: no The Wow Factor: I bought the green version, the blue looked real cheap thou Overall: I bought this kit because it was cheap and I just wanted a practice kit, its worth upgrading the cymbals ASAP, Im also going to get a new high hat stand, its a bit flimsy

zZounds has verified that this customer bought this product from us. "Really decent set for the price."

Sound: The heads are OK for what comes on the set, just use a little weather stripping (home depot, lowes-saves$$$$) to muffle the sound to your liking. I do recommend getting some decent hi-hat and other cymbals. What comes with it ain't the best and the 18" crash/ride has no sustain. Feature: The hardware is pretty good, the mounts for the toms are really sturdy, especially if ya lock em in place. Don't go by the other reviews on the hi hat stand, the spring has held up well for the 2 months I have owned it. Quality: Solid and sturdy, no problems yet with anything (and I move em to band practice at least once a week). Manufacturer Support: n/a The Wow Factor: It just a drum set, but the metallic claret (purple) color looks better in person than in web site pics. Overall: I have added a few things already, cymbals for now. I plan on getting 2 ply heads next and a roc-n-soc throne.
