I have been playing bass for around 7 years and I started out playing a small Peavey practice amp when i was around 13. I then upgraded to a Behringer ultrabass 300 watt 15inch speaker combo amp much like this one. I then graduated to stacks. I now run a Mesa M9 carbine and a mesa powerhouse 4x10 and play many shows. I recently got this amp back from a friend I had traded him this Peavey 115 for his gallien krueger stack. I didnt need this amp at the time and figured it sounded way better than his stack and felt bad for him so i traded him then sold his stack. I originally bought the Peavey max 115 from an old friend a while back for 35 bucks. She was just trying to get rid of it. It was brand new. I just got this amp back not too long ago from the buddy i had traded it to and man, this thing packs a very very nice low end. Its got that 15 inch speaker thats made to rumble a house off the foundation. The tonal controls are great. I keep my Mesa for playing gigs and band practice, but i use this guy just to jam on to songs and what not. I am very pleased with this amp. Compared to the Behringer ultrabass 300 watt combo amp, this thing blows that out of the water. I have a feeling like Behringer may have a lot of wattage, but their speakers and head can't handle it all. This thing is wayy louder than the Behringer way more clear, just a better feeling amp all the way around.
