This is my first true all tube amp....Been playing 17 years, spent 5 yrs playing semi-pro... the past 3 yrs professional (depending on the jobs available!). This beats hands down any tube amp I have played prior (studios, Gear equipped gigs).****The only drawbacks I can think of have nothing to do with actual sound quality but please be advised....-the amp is heavy!! -the amp will have to have a heavy duty stand to accommodate the weight....if you need it angled up to you to hear properly at gigs...it will need a back support. I use a heavy duty tripod amp stand with foam cover on the back support so as not to Damage finish.-An amp of this quality, in my humble opinion is in dire need of a quality padded cover. I bought a really great one from “Tuki” amp covers. It surrounds the bottom too...Benefits:-plenty loud, without being too “hot” or overdriven on the clean channel. I play gigs with the volume at 4 at the most!-great overdrive section, especially when using the footswitch. Can go from distortion to just a little grit easily-very touch sensitive. -Boost channel on footswitch (button 2) is great for boosting clean signal without getting muddy-I Believe it boost signal 6 dB-awesome tremolo and spring reverb, which even at low levels can add just that little polish to your sound-sturdy construction and definitely a big “wow” for me opening the box and seeing the heavy duty tweed construction, and the sleek (stainless steel) control panel.-awesome full back Celestion read more speaker 12”, large enough to be heard well even if put on the stage without stand.Highly recommend it...especially if new to true tune amps....awesome for my jazzy blues/classic funky repertoire....don’t be fooled this thing is a beast and can get some great dirty sounds....
