Get killer Marshall tone in a compact 15-watt 1x12 combo amp. The DSL15C boasts two 6V6 power valves, a Celestion speaker, and two footswitchable channels.

Modeled after Marshall's highly acclaimed Dual Super Lead amp heads, the DSL15C guitar combo amplifier delivers Marshall sound in a portable package. The Marshall DSL15C blasts 15 watts of tube-driven sound through one 12" speaker and features all the road-ready controls you'd expect on a Marshall amp, including a Presence control for added highs, passive 3-band EQ with a "Tone Shift" button for notching out the mids, and even a digital spring reverb.

Two Gig-Ready, Footswitchable Channels

For veterans and beginners alike, the DSL15C makes it easy to rock like a champion. Stomp the footswitch to toggle between clean to distorted channels to add some crunch. Stomp the Reverb button to add quacky spring-like sounds or deep moaning lows with professional-quality digital reverb and separate reverb controls for each channel. A shared EQ section offers treble, mid, bass, and presence controls, giving depth to your tone whether you're filling the room with screaming tubes or softly strum with warm, natural overdrive. And thanks to its all-tube design, this Marshall amplifier is sure to leave an impression.

Portable Marshall Power

With tube-driven preamp and powered amplifiers, the Marshall DSL15C will sound like an amp twice its size. Two channels with independent gain and volume knobs for each make it easy to change the mood at the press of a button. A switch on the back lets you switch to half power (7.5 watts) for when you're just practicing.

Marshall DSL15C Guitar Combo Amplifier

The Marshall DSL15C is a compact, 15-Watt, all-valve 1x 12 combo boasting 2 x 6V6 power valves and a Celestion speaker. Its two footswitchable channels - Classic Gain (the DSL100H's Clean option) and Ultra Gain (the DSL100H's Lead 2 option) - share the same EQ network and a Deep switch for extra low-end if required. The DSL15C combo also features built-in, footswitchable, studio-quality digital spring reverb with a level control.

The DSL15C features two footswitchable channels (footswitch supplied): Classic Gain and Ultra Gain. As their names imply, each channel has a very different character. Classic Gain takes you from a shimmering, harmonic-enhanced clean to a 1959-style crunch when the Gain control is cranked. Ultra Gain, on the other hand, takes you into the world of modern high gain and then some.

Both channels share a passive three-band EQ with controls for Bass, Middle and Treble. The Equalisation section also features a Tone Shift button which, when activated (pushed in), shifts out the mid frequencies making the amp ideal for brutal, modern metal tones, especially when combined with the high gain settings of the Ultra Gain channel. The equalization section also features a control for Presence and a Deep switch. Both of these equalisation enhancers are functions of the power amp. Presence adds a variable high end 'bite' to your tone while the Deep switch adds a fixed, resonant bass boost to your sound -- adding girth without muddying it up.

The ability to select either the full 15 Watts of output power or half-power (7.5 Watts) via the Pentode/Triode switch on the rear panel, adds further to your new DSL's already impressive feature set. The all-round tonal and gain versatility makes both the DSL15H & DSL15C superb and flexible performance tools for today's most demanding playing situations. You can rest assured both are packed full of their famed Marshall tone.

When the JCM2000 Dual Super Lead (DSL) series of amps was introduced in 1997, they were received with open arms and glowing compliments by the guitar loving public and press alike. In fact one of the biggest American guitar magazines described the DSL100 as possibly "the best Marshall ever. It combines the best tonal qualities and features of both modern and vintage Marshall amps in one package."

I found that this amp is a good base for tone of you have some good stomp boxes. It takes pedals up front very well and is built sturdy. The classic overdrive channel is perfect for stacking effects or using straight in for blues or classic rock. The high gain channel is where it loses its focus. The high gain channel wasnt usable (for me at least). It sounded like high gain bags of sand grinding through the speaker. When it realy comes down to it i feel its a four star for its quality, its clean/classic gain channel and how well it takes pedals up front. The amp suits me and my pedal board 100%. If the high gain channel was cleaned up itd be a 5.
