A special limited-edition Martin guitar, the Martin Jeff Tweedy Custom 00-DB acoustic guitar features a sonically and visually striking all-mahogany design to encapsulate the tonal complexity of the Wilco frontman's sound. With a beautiful gloss finish and deep alluring resonance, this axe projects an alluring aura perfect for intimate performances or warm and natural sounding recording sessions in the studio. A mahogany neck features a slightly longer scale length of 25.4" along with 20 frets over a Richlite fingerboard.

All-Mahogany 00 Body

The Jeff Tweedy Custom 00-DB harnesses attributes of Tweedy's favorite Martins. Its deeper body boasts a dark and big resonance, and the mahogany top, back, and sides really push those lower frequencies. All the wood on this acoustic is Forest Stewardship Council certified, and the Delmar tortoise pickguard and tortoise body binding make for great visual treats.

Mahogany Neck in Modified V Shape

The 00-14 fret body shape refers to the 14 frets that are clear of the body -- a design Martin modified from their slightly shorter necks that only cleared 12 frets from the body back in the early 1930s. The slightly longer scale length of 25.4" yields a tighter feel to each string, and the modified V-shaped neck widens slightly the higher your hand travels up the neck.

Martin Jeff Tweedy Custom 00DB Acoustic

C. F. Martin & C. is pleased to introduce a very special Custom Artist Edition, the 00-DB Jeff Tweedy, designed in collaboration with Grammy Award winning Wilco frontman, Jeff Tweedy. This special limited edition instrument will be built for 2 years only. The 00-DB Jeff Tweedy Edition was inspired by one of Jeff's many love-worn Martins.

It is a traditional 14 fret 00 size guitar with a deeper body for fuller sound and a modified V shape neck with long scale (25.4 inch). The top, back, and side of the guitar are all constructed from 100% FSC certified mahogany and it features a unique mahogany sunburst top inspired by a Martin Museum piece Tweedy has long admired. The interior label of each instrument is personally signed by Tweedy and numbered in sequence. The guitar is Martin's first Custom Artist model that is 100% FSC Certified, an important distinction for both Tweedy and Martin.

Righteous guitar, great price; this is the best acoustic guitar I've purchased so far. I've got two Taylors, & another Martin so it's a nice addition.
