I bought my first HD28V back in 2003. It was my first Martin. Since that time I've owned two more: a D42 and a custom 000-28 with a cutaway. The HD28V was always my favorite. Used it to play Zeppelin acoustic pieces like the Rain Song. The sound of that guitar in the Gsus4 tuning will give you chills. Had to sell it, always regretted it.Fast forward to 2019. Just received a new HD28V from zZounds. Was blown away by how well the guitar played. The only issue that I had with my original HD28V was that the issue was a little stiff. I looked at the Martin web site and found out that the HD28Vs (and other Martins) now have what they call "Playability Enhanced", which basically means that they are being Plek'd. It hakes a big difference!Bottom line: love my new HD28V, have already forgotten about my old one ;-)Now I'm just waiting for the aging toner to turn the the top a nice shade of pumpkin orange.
