Line 6 has long since proven itself as a leader of the digital tone modeling revolution, and the Pod HD Pro reflects nearly 20 years of sustained innovation. You'll now have the pleasure of perusing 22 freshly updated amp simulations, derived from painstaking studies of classic warhorse amps like the Fender Twin Reverb, the Hiwatt Custom 100, the Vox AC-30, the Marshall JCM 800, and many more.

Build Your Own Virtual Signal Chains

Creating your own virtual signal chains means that you'll be able to create sounds that would cost unfathomable amounts of money if you were playing with their fussy real-world counterparts. Here, you can combine the read more amp models mentioned above with any desired combination of 100+ FX units, in any order you want to put them together. Are 19 different delay units enough? 12 different reverbs? How about 26 different filter patches, each fully tweakable across hundreds of parameters? Also, if you've got a mid-song transition that requires you to switch to a different instrument entirely, you can leave the first signal chain running while you play through a parallel path running its own distinct preset.

Truly Authentic Tube Modeling

The reason musicians have long loved real tube amps is for their variability of tone. The Pod HD Pro doesn't sell you short on that. It allows you to simulate crucial factors like singled-ended and push/pull outputs, both Class A and Class AB interactions, a number of phase inversion topologies, and a whole lot more.

Your Feet Will Not Miss the Pedalboard

The Pod HD Pro hooks up effortlessly with the Line 6 FBV MkII foot controller, to keep your feet in the game. You can use it to add dynamic expression to your playing, to control parameters on your FX presets, or to control the built-in looper. That's right -- the Line 6 Pod HD Pro has a world-class 48-second looper on board, just in case you needed one.

Goes Anywhere and Everywhere

In the studio, or on the stage, the Pod HD Pro is ready to get your tone where it needs to be, right away. As you come to depend on this unit for most or all of your processing needs, you'll save huge amounts of space and setup time. And if you're eco-sensitive, you can also take some pride in saving all the power those stomboxes were eating up. Cool, right?

Sound and Feel Like Never Before

HD amp models defy the accepted standard. They feel, behave and interact with previously unachievable realism.

Creating these HD amp models was no small feat. 15 years of amp modeling experience coupled with 3 years of research and development delivered an amp modeling technology from that was built from the ground up. During that time, a collection of incredible amplifiers were selected and - with the help of some of the country's top tube amp experts - restored back to peak condition and performance. Each amplifier was modeled using this technology and the results surpassed every expectation.

HD amp modeling technology delivers the nuances of analog tube amp design like never before. It includes singled-ended and push/pull outputs, Class A and Class AB interactions, a variety of phase inverter topologies, parallel preamp paths, and much more. The result is unprecedented, warmth, feel, sustain and articulation for you to fall in love with.

Tube amp fanatics have long enthused that their favorite stacks and combos aren't merely "amps" but instruments themselves, with playability equal to that of the guitar plugged into them. HD modeling lifts the POD HD Pro experience to that same exalted level, capturing the genuine playability that great guitarists demand.

This is the best piece of equipment I have ever owned! It offers an endless variety of tones and effects that would cost you thousands of dollars if you bought them individually. It has really made me enjoy playing guitar again. The benefit of having quiet sessions with great amp tones makes the Line 6 Pod HD Pro worth every penny. Not to mention, my live gigs are way more fun. Not to mention, live gigs are unbelievable with this thing. I've had numerous sound guys tell me they could not believe the sound quality and the quiet preset switching this thing contains. I would recommend it to everyone.

Sound
The sound quality is simply unmatched. I have an arsenal of tones I would have never been able to have before. I play in three bands. All of which are different genres ranging from country to metal and this thing delivers. The amp tones are clear and the effects are simple to use.

Features
With over 30 different amps and over 100 different effects, what else could you ask for? Plus, it plugs right into the house sound so stage noise is no longer a factor in mixing. With the XLR, 1/4" and L6 Link outputs, you can hook it up to anything. I currently have mine running into a Crown 1000 watt amp which powers a Yamaha SM15V floor monitor for jamming at my house.

Ease of Use
The software and the rack unit are both very intuitive. Setting up presets requires no effort and are easily read more tweaked at any time. Plus, it weighs a lot less than the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and SKB pedalboard I used to take to every gig. I would recommend getting the Line 6 FBV Shortboard for live performances.

Quality
The product seems to be very durable. I keep mine in a Gator powered rack case so I should never have to worry about any mishaps.

Value
I would spend over a $1000 on this thing. It offers an abundance of tones and effects that would cost you thousands of dollars if bought individually.

Manufacturer Support
I have yet to deal with the Tech Support. To be honest, every question I needed to be answered was either found in the booklet or on the Line 6 forum.

The Wow Factor
Having a rack unit was something I had always dreamed of since I was a kid. This thing fully delivers. I can't tell you how many people have asked me about it.

Musical Background:
I've been playing guitar for ten years. I play cover gigs with 2 different bands and write music for another band.

Musical Style:
Blues, Rock, Metal
