Sealed cabinet...I'm starting off with that because that determines the sound and the volume.

Sound
I would call the sound closer to old school rather than modern. Thats what I was looking for but I was a little let down on the volume. Playing with two guitars and drums (both guitarists using 22W tube combos) it was about maxed out volume wise. I did like the tone. The sealed cabinet (no ports) is the limiting factor here and they should tell you up front in the advertising. The speaker used is rather light duty for a 300W amp and I would change it and add a tuned port.

Features
The power amp itself is very straight forward and easy to use on a gig. The gain control allows you to run the amp very clean or add a bit of grit or dirt. This amp seems to wants the bass guitar to run wide open in loud situations. Having a pre-clip light and a power amp clip light are both a big help in setting it up. The power-on light and power-clip light are one in the same and just change color as you approach max output. The tweeter off switch is rarely offered on bass combos and I'm glad to use it as the piezo tweeters are generally unable to handle high power well.

Ease of Use
I find it very easy to set-up and get my sound. The three tone controls have a lot of cut and boost. The 'PHAT' control is right up my alley as it adds quite a bit of chunky low end and I find it very useful. For playing loud and… read more clean with my band I set the gain for just past 9 o'clock and the master at 12 o'clock. At this point the pre-clip rarely lights and the power clip light is just coming on. The fan located on the amp it temp controlled and hasn't come on yet. The amp runs only moderately warm when the amp is pushed hard.

Quality
The amp is made with quality in mind. The front grill is very rugged and the rear amp is slightly recessed so the amp can be laid on its back and will not damage the controls. The tolex seems tough enough but I wouldnt move it alot without a cover. The controls feel smooth and seem like they will last.

Value
I would say the combo is worth the selling price when you consider the power output and its design. Compared to other amps in its class it has a few features that are not offered by the others. Easy to carry, fits in the back of my hatch with the seat up. Attractive looking compared to the others in its class.

Manufacturer Support
Havent had to deal with the company other than to register the warranty. Its been reliable so far.

The Wow Factor
I would say its looks and design are what attracted me to it. I like the bright red amp and square black cabinet with the open rugged grill look. Much diff than the other amps and looks tough and rugged. It does have a look of quality and it looks like there was some thought in its layout.
