Product Description

An exceptional instrument based on 1962 Violin Bass played exclusively by Paul McCartney, the 500/1 '62 bass is well regarded by Hofner aficionados and players alike. Replicating details of the original including the strip machine heads, the slot-head screws on the hardware and the two-piece neck; provide an authentic look and feel. With the re-issuing of the Vintage '62, Hofner has created a replica of Paul's bass historically accurate enough to satisfy even the most demanding Beatles fan.

Overall: This bass really kills with awesome deep bass sounds. If Paul has played this bass for all these years Hofner must be doing something right. Not for slappers or poppers this gives a very close sound like a stand up bass. Paul bass is a 63 model but the only difference is this has 2 tuners on a strip where as the 63 has individual tuners. Great color and light as a feather. Highly recommend.
