Crafted in California with Heart and Sweat

A lot of work and attention to detail went into this combo amp. A memorizing speed controlled tremolo gives of a nice '50s era pulse, and an 8" Weber signature speaker with Alnico magnet housed in a solid pine cabinet gets you a clean, well-defined warm tone for your signal.

5 Watts Gives Your Axe More Control

Being a low-watt amp, your EC Vibro Champ responds to the ultra-sensitivity of your signal. That means you get a wide range of noticeable tone changes with the power of your pinky via your axe's volume control. Clapton's Layla album is rife with this read more little trick. Not having to run to your amp when you want to change your tone for a specific part means you'll have more freedom to control your sound entirely from your guitar while you're playing.

A Great Companion for Recording

Jimmy Page, Steve Cropper, Jeff Beck, Joe Walsh, Neil Young, Eric Clapton -- aside from being masters of influence in their playing, these guitarists all know the benefits of using low-wattage amps for recording. Led Zeppelin's epic "Heartbreaker" and Neil Young's "Over and Over" are two great examples of smaller amps churning out gripping tones. A few creative multiple-mic setups -- try one close mic and one 6 to 20 feet away; or use two microphones off to the sides 6 feet away -- will capture the EC Vibro Champ's singular sound. Cranking this baby up will give you a unique sound unattainable by amps with higher wattages.

Sweet Tweed Outer Casing

Your EC Vibro Champ is based on Fender's '50s Tweed Champ amp, meaning that aside from pumping an awesome warm tone, this little guy is dressed in the finest of vintage fashion -- a sharp lacquered tweed covering with vintage brown/gold grille cloth. Fender Eric Clapton EC Vibro Champ Amp

In a historic collaboration, Fender introduces its first artist signature amplifiers-EC Series amps bearing the name of legendary guitarist Eric Clapton.

He still uses one today, and we've answered his call for a special model with several distinctive features by introducing the EC Vibro-Champ. Built to Clapton's own exacting specifications and handmade in the United States, it's a fascinating variation on the '57 Champ designed with a '50s-era output tube bias tremolo (which produced a more throbbing pulse than later Fender tremolo circuits) and a switchable power attenuator (reduces speaker output). It's a must for Clapton fans and guitarists who want the ultimate in low-power tube performance.

I play at home and wanted an amp that would have great sound and not kill my ears and this is it! The moment I plugged my AS Stratocaster into this amp I was in heaven. It's quiet and very sensitive to your touch. The attenuator works perfectly cutting the power down to about one quarter. It has a swampy, sweet tone and breaks up easily at lower volumes. I usually keep the volume on the amp at 7-8 and control the volume on the guitar. I'm using a reverb pedal with it and it sounds so sweet! It is perfect with my AS Telecaster also. Did I say perfect!!! The best amp I have ever owned. The tremolo is kind of neat but I really don't use it except for noodling around. I also have a PRS McCarty and it sounds ok but not great like the single coil Fenders. The humbuckers tend to break up too early and doesn't have that glassy tone that the single coils have. I never really bonded with the humbuckers though. I have no problem paying a grand to have this sound. I absolutely love this amp. Every time I sit down to practice I never want to stop!
