The Fender Deluxe VM is a powerful, great-sounding combo amp. With 40 watts of tube power and onboard DSP, the Fender Deluxe VM offers serious versatility.

Fender tube combos are considered the most treasured guitar amplifiers of all time. Popular models like the Deluxe Reverb(R) and Hot Rod Deluxe(TM) are easily as desirable now as when they were first introduced!

Countless guitarists reach for some version of a Fender Deluxe(TM) amp when they do a session or a gig, thanks to its grab-and-go 1x12 combo portability, ease of use and great tone. The Deluxe VM amplifier takes the sought-after Deluxe formula into a new era of "Vintage Modified" performance by combining a real tube amp with a complement of essential effects. The 40-watt tube platform provides a foundation of great tone to build on, and the versatile tube preamp offers a wide range of tone and gain settings--from world-standard Blackface(TM) Fender clean to aggressive overdrive with post-gain EQ.

An all-new high-quality DSP platform adds reverb, chorus/vibrato, and delay effects with the convenience and "tweakability" of standard stomp boxes, without the need for extra cables or power supplies.

I think this ended my search for a powerful ,portable, versatile good sounding combo amp that won't break the bank or your back!

Sound
Clean channel nails the classic Deluxe sound. The gain channel has the most usable distortion I have encountered in a Fender. Gets that Marshall bark & roar going, perfect for classic rock. The reverb is very much like the old spring reverb, the delay and chorus are both excellent. I gave it a 9 overall because it can sound a little muddy if the reverb is turned up too much.

Features
Came with a cover and a really nice footswitch. While you can adjust and turn the effects on & off from the control panel ,having the 4 button switch (with indicator lights on it!) lets me leave my pedalboard home. The footswitch stows away in the back of the amp.

Ease of Use
Really easy to dial in great sounds, you can tweak the effects like stompboxes. The manual gives a bunch of cool suggested settings for the FX.

Quality
OK , overall very well built but when I got mine home the baffle board for the speakers was loose. Had to reach in and crank down the screws. Also, it should have chrome corners and sphinx glides instead of the cheap nailed-on little feet. (I put corners & glides on mine ). Having said that I have taken it on the road and have 6 gigs on it so far (a couple of rough ones) and no problems at all. I expect it should hold read more up very well.

Value
I think it is a lot of amp for the money.

Manufacturer Support
I emailed them a question 2 weeks ago and haven't heard back, so take that as you will.

The Wow Factor
This amp looks great and is extremely versatile with plenty of volume for most gigs and really good tone. Plus it weighs only 40 pounds , so it is a perfect grab 'n go type of amp for gigs, jamming and rehearsals.
