Think you've seen it all? Well, you've probably never seen a flame-top bass for under $300! Leave it to ESP to deliver. The B154 and B155 basses are another example of tremendous value. Play one and you'll discover tremendous quality, tone, playability and feel. Features include an agathis body with that stunning flamed maple top; two ESP SB-series pickups; a new ESP ABQ-2 active 2-band EQ with improved range and definition; a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard and 24 XJ frets; and black hardware.
Double Action Truss Rods
All ESP/LTD guitars and basses feature a 'double-action' truss rod design. Unlike a normal (single) truss rod, this one is adjustable in two different directions. This means that you'll never run into a situation where the neck has 'run out of adjustment'. Regardless of which ESP model you choose, you'll get years and years of playing enjoyment.

I just sold a Carvin BB 75 Bass I have had since 1995 and this B154 has just as good a sound!! I play jazz and want a full sound thru the full scale of the instrument, this has it in Spades!!
Ease of Use:
It took no time to set up the sounds I was looking for. I put a new set of Rotosound stings to replace the ones from the factory.
Overall:
I tried several moderately priced basses before buying this one. It will last me for as long as I keep playing. If it was lost or stolen I would buy the same one again.

"Best Bang for the Buck"
Feature:
The Features are great. Im still getting used to the differnt Active EQ features. Im not quite sure what each one does yet.
Quality:
The see thru paint is really great. It looks awsome. Everything feels nice and firm. Good overall quality
Value:
Best bass in its price range. Style, sound, quality, everything.
Desirability:
The styling design is very appealing. It looks sweeet.
Sound:
The sound is amazing. The active pickups are sweet, its much louder than my previous passive pickup bass. It has that nice raspy type of sound i was looking for. I dont even have it plugged into a bass amp yet, the sound is great on the guitar amp, but when i get my new bass amp i bet it will sound even better.
