Overview
The ESI Audio Juli@ features highest quality 24-bit 192Khz ADC (114dB) and DAC (112dB) for the best quality audio. The unique swappable I/O socket allows you to choose your analog connectors between unbalanced RCA jacks and balanced TRS jacks. You don't have to configure your studio to Juli@, you can configure Juli@ to your studio. Juli@'s EWDM drivers provide unparalled performance and stability, and provide support for all professional audio applications using ASIO and GSIF drivers.
With the powerful EWDM drivers and MIDI I/O Juli@ is perfect for post-production studios, one man bands and use with mixers and you can monitor the inputs and outputs directly through the digital mixer.
Juli@'s optical and digital outputs allow AC3/DTS pass through for Dolby digital and DTS surround sound playback.

Superb. Will only add tube-staged D/A converter using the S/PDIF out for personal taste.
Sound
Having preferred analog music playback for sound quality reasons, and after seeing this win shootouts and reading reviews, chose this Juli@ to feed directly into my Musical COncepts modified Adcom GFA5800, driving A/D/S MV80t speakers thru Speltz Anti-Cable. The sound is an absolute joy, especially with HD tracks. Blows away my $600 Marantz upsampling SACD player. Very balanced, smooth flow without the harshness and easy fatigue from typical digital sound. I spend hours now listening to digital audio, using Media Monkey & tranferring mp3 to flac. Can't speak for mp3, as every file i have is between 700-2500kbps, but this card is an absolute joy to listen with. Will be getting a TAD tube D/A converter eventually, but couldn't recommend this card more.

Ease of Use
RCA out directly into power amp, DJ mixer out into the record.. Card comes with Cubase 5le to record (altho i use Reaper), independant channel levels on-screen - very easy to use

less than $200 shipped for a card that sounds much better than upsampling and SACD!
