"BBC LS3/5A with built-in amplifier from Metallica to Kings of Convenience? Yes. Danish art, noble sound."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I think this will be my pair of speakers for about six to eight years. By then Class D amplifiers will be so good, that I will change.
Sound
The tweeter is Esotar and that enables very fine and articulate highs. The control of the amplifier over the conusses is grand and the sound is tight & precise, also when played loud.
Features
XLR input, adjustable for high, mid and low frequencies and a low cut in 2 steps when you think you need a subwoofer. All very useful.
Ease of Use
Just take a look at the features and you will know. Clear manual.
Quality
The speaker is made for mixing in studio's, but I use it at home. It makes me think of BBC LS3/5a. But it plays much, much louder, and no breakup at all. What annoys me a bit is that when I put on another CD, I get within reach of 2 meters and then I notice a bit of hiss and hum coming from the speaker. I listen to music at a distance of 3 meters, then I can't hear that and as soon as the music plays, the hiss and hum are overruled.
Value
Unbelievable value for the money. Amplifier and speaker for the price of an amplifier. Or a speaker.
Manufacturer Support
No need for support until now, I only have them for a week.
The Wow Factor
This speaker is really not big in its dimensions. That makes it easy to set up and also my wife likes the looks. And she is critical.
