Place the Bugera PS1 in line between your tube amp and speaker cab to crank out that saturated overdrive tone from your amp without a visit from the cops.

The Bugera PS1 is a Passive 100-Watt Power Attenuator for Guitar and Bass Amplifiers with an Emulated Mic Output. You love the sound of your 100-Watt all-tube amp when it's cranked; that sweet, crunchy sound supporting you as you soar into the tonal stratosphere! But now, back down to Earth... Wouldn't it be great if you could get that same amazing tone at a reasonable volume level -- or at any volume level? The PS1 POWER SOAK is the answer for tone-craving guitarists everywhere, letting you drive the output tubes of your amp hard enough to squeeze out every drop of tone at any volume. The PS1 works with virtually any tube amp up to 100 Watts (4, 8 or 16 Ohms) and your favorite speaker cabinet, plus provides a Line output with dedicated level control and an Emulated Mic output to send your signal to the mixing console.

Multi-Impedance Operation

The PS1 POWER SOAK is designed to be inserted between your tube amp and your speaker cabinet. Just run a speaker cable from the output of your amp to the corresponding PS1 Amp Input jack that matches your amplifier's operating impedance (4, 8 or 16 Ohms), and run a second speaker cable from PS1#s Speaker Output to your cabinet. Power up your amp and dial in your favorite sound, then adjust the large Soak knob to the ideal volume level. All the tone, without all the volume -- it's just that easy!

Dedicated Line Output

On PS1's rear panel you'll find a convenient line output jack for connecting to an external power amplifier read more for running additional speaker cabinets, or to effects processing gear in professional applications such as the recording studio. The signal from the Line output does not have speaker/ mic emulation, but does feature its own dedicated Level control.

Built-In Direct Box

Now that you have your stage volume under control, you can stick a mic in front of your speaker or better yet, use PS1's built-in Emulated Mic Output to get all that great tone to the front of house (FOH) or recording console. This balanced XLR output mimics the sound captured by placing a microphone in front of your speaker without the need for any additional gear.

Real Tone -- Real Value

The PS1 POWER SOAK respects your tone, delivering it to your ears at any volume level you choose, and it delivers that same great tone to the mixer -- whether you're on the stage or in the studio. Easy to use and extremely affordable, the PS1 will make the club owner, sound man, and even your bandmates love your playing all the more.

I first saw this on a different site and checked zZounds to see if they have it. But they were sold out at the time. I waited and when I saw they had it in stock I ordered it. But before I placed my order I checked the web to see some reviews but there was hardly any on YouTube. I was a little skeptical due to how cheap it was but said the hell with it and bought it anyway. Well....I am glad I did. This thing really brings out the best in my Marshall DSL. I can finally get that Marshall sound I love so much with getting a Disturbing the Peace citation from the local authorities.
