Featuring two channels, 40 watts of power, and reverb, the HTClub40 is ready to rock. This EL34-driven amp also has an ISF control for infinite tone shaping.

Equipped with two channels and four footswitchable modes, this Blackstar HT Club 40 Deluxe is the ideal gigging tube amp for club sized venues. Each channel features an independent Voice switch that greatly enhances this amp's tonal versatility. The 40 Watt, EL34 driven power amp has amazing punch and dynamics that easily cut through in any band situation. The three-band EQ is augmented by the Infinite Shape Feature (ISF), which works with the EQ to provide infinite tone-shaping control. The upgraded Celestion A-Type speaker enhances the already impressive tone of this amp with improved low-end response, increased headroom, and a smoother top-end. Additional features like digital reverb, emulated output and effects loop round out this truly impressive amplifier.

ISF Control

The ISF control works in conjunction with the Tone control. It allows you to choose the exact tone signature you prefer. Fully CCW is a more American characteristic with a tight bottom end and more aggressive middle, and fully CW is a British characteristic which is more "woody" and less aggressive.

Speaker Emulated Output

The Blackstar emulated output design is a new benchmark for pro direct recording. This no-compromise design makes it easy to get your tone to disk and tape. You can also use it to run a line out to a PA.

Digital Reverb

The reverb control sets the overall level of the reverb effect. With the control fully counter clockwise there will be no reverb. Turning the control read more clockwise will increase the amount of reverb.

Two Footswitchable Channels

The guitar amplifier has two channels available for selection, a Clean channel and an Overdrive channel. Using the Volume control while on the Clean channel you are able to deliver everything from a clean sound through to a crunch tone. Alternatively you can select the Overdrive channel and again using the Gain control, change from a clean sound on the edge of breakup right through to a distorted lead tone.

Effects Loop

The amp features an effects loop to allow you to connect effects pedals or other professional equipment using the return and send connections. The Effects Loop Level switch sets the effects loop to either +4dBV/-10dBV, which enables you to use it with either professional equipment (+4dBV setting), or with guitar level effects such as effects pedals (-10dBV setting).

First off, I thought it would be smaller. It's about the same size as my old Raven RG100 combo amp. This is my first all valve amp and I'm impressed. From the stitched leather handle all the way down to the MDF used. The amp makes me impressed with the way it sounds and over all quality products used. The nobs are smooth on operation, the switches for power and standby are right on rugged. It does have the Celestion Type A speaker and Not so fond of RUBY tubes. The sound on the amp in crisp and clean and if you want dirt go outside, because it has a lot. But over all Blackstar out did themselves with this amp. My Vox VT20X has nothing on this amp. My VOX sounds muddy even with a valve and speaker changed.

Musical Background:

7 years playing, and I'll just jam at home for now.

Musical Style:

Anything my head makes up.
