"Decent combo amp for the budget conscious...just be careful gigging with it"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I'm a performing bassist for a 5-piece r&b/blues band who's on astrict budget. This combos seems to be worth the coin I paid for it. However...if a good quality seprarate head and cabinet comes my way, this one will no longer be my main rig.

Sound
My previous combo amp was the Hartke 1155 combo with a single 15" and 5" tweeter and so I was skeptical about going with the 2 X 10" config. - as I play with a 5-string. The sound of the lower freqs sing thru and the funky slap/pop stuff sounds amazinging well. However....I have repaired the drivers. What sounded like a blown speaker was actually the aluminum torn from the surround - fixed(professionally) with a special epoxy. The Bugera speakers (aluminum) suck, I'd retrofit their papre coned 10s instead

Features
All in one package including the footpedal with a REALLY long cord. All the features I want with an easy to use/read interface.

Ease of Use
Literally a plug and play.

Quality
Those factory castors suck. I removed the rubber feet from the bottom and put on my own 2" casters on all four corners. Some carpet is coming off some of the rear panels, but build/fit and finish quality seems to be pretty good.

Value
If you want to perform with this amp combo, I'd strongly recommend getting your sound guy to add you to the on-stage mix, and add a little more for the "house" read more

Manufacturer Support
I want to add additional spkr cabs, but their spec sheet is not accurate/helpful, nor is their manual helpful. I've registered on line with them to get specific info on adding cabs, but so far their tech guy said I need to disconnect the internal speakers first (WTF???) I want to keep those running AND add another one. (This is so that I don't have to force the speakers/amp to work as hard)

The Wow Factor
Good value for the price I paid
