The Akai Professional Blues Overdrive is an essential ingredient in the Analog Custom Shop product line. Blues Overdrive's heavy-duty polished stainless-steel housing is deceptively simple in appearance, wonderfully deep in appealing, warm tone. True-bypass switching is combined with adjustable Level and Drive knobs for just the right amount of precision control.

Overdrive pedals may be difficult to master, however, with only two knobs Blues Overdrive allows guitarists to easily dial in a precise combination of volume and overdrive effect. Subtle adjustments allow guitarists to sculpt a tone that is customized to their rig, band or specific song. Warm up your sound, add some grit and play with the emotion-stirring Blues Overdrive from Akai Professional's Analog Custom Shop.

This is a sweet sounding pedal that will add a little to your clean tone, or grind the grit for your saturated Blues overdrive. It IS painfully simple, but it's an overdrive pedal, what more do you need. The one complaint I have is the fact that they don't include the wall wart like some other companies (Electro-Harmonix). I mean just figure that into the price for crying out loud, instead of gouging out another $20 for the wall wart. But that's it, and it's minor compared with the way it sounds, which of course is the main concern right? It's relatively inexpensive, analog, and true bypass, I think you'll like it.
