Mother-32 semi-modular analog synthesizer
Moog's first semi-modular tabletop synth is here!

Moog Mother-32 Analog Synthesizer

See our exclusive video demos from the Moog Sound Lab

At the Moog Music factory in Asheville, North Carolina, technicians are hard at work carrying on the legacy of the company's founder, Dr. Bob Moog -- designing, building and testing analog synthesizers, effects pedals, theremins, and more. And amid the oscilloscopes and soldering irons, there's the Moog Sound Lab -- a studio full of floor-to-ceiling Moog gear, where touring musicians make a special point of stopping to play the latest and greatest.
Moog Mother-32
zZounds stopped by for an in-depth look at the Moog Mother-32 -- Moog's first semi-modular tabletop synthesizer. Watch our exclusive videos for a performance and hands-on walkthrough with DJ/producer Marley Carroll -- plus an interview with the engineers behind the Moog Mother-32.

Take a look, and learn how this "Mother" gives you serious Moog sound and sequencing power in a surprisingly affordable package.

Step into analog synthesis

Moog Mother-32
Perfect for musicians new to analog synthesis, the semi-modular Mother-32 doesn't require any patching to create a huge range of sounds -- just turn on the oscillator and tweak the filter to get started. Of course, for the modular synth enthusiast, the Eurorack-compatible Mother-32 gives you 32 patch points and an assignable CV jack.

A 32-step sequencer with 64 sequence locations lets you save, play back, tweak, and mangle beats and patterns right on the Mother-32. The MIDI input lets you plug in a MIDI keyboard, or feed the Mother-32 MIDI data you've sequenced in a DAW.

With the exception of the kick and snare samples, every sound you heard in the video above was created with the Moog Mother-32. Learn more with this behind-the-scenes walkthrough:

Interview: The engineers behind the Moog Mother-32

Want to know more about the design philosophy behind the Mother-32? In this video, Moog engineers Steve Dunnington and Eric Church talk about analog vs. digital, what "semi-modular" means, and why it's a a good idea to turn the computer off and get your hands on a hardware sequencer like the Mother-32:

Moog Mother-32 Features:

• Voltage-controlled 32-step sequencer with 64 sequence locations
• Low-pass & High-pass Moog Ladder Filter (20 Hz - 20 kHz) with voltage-controlled resonance
• External audio input for processing outside sound sources
• Definitive Moog oscillator with Pulse and Sawtooth wave outputs
• 5-pin MIDI input and MIDI to CV converter
• 32 modular patch points (includes 5 patch cables)
• 2 voltage-controlled mixers
• White noise generator
• Easy-to-use semi-modular design for swift, inspired music creation
