With its Michael Tobias-designed asymmetrical neck, Quick-Release bridge, and two J-style single-coil pickups, the Saratoga bass stands apart from the crowd.

The MTD Kingston Saratoga bass is a modern re-imagining of a classic J bass, at a budget-friendly price. It is Michael Tobias' innovations like the asymmetrical neck and Quick-Release bridge which sets the Saratoga apart from the crowd. The Saratoga has the classic 34 inch scale length, 2 J style single coils pickups which respond great to dynamics, and a rosewood fingerboard which resonates a nice warm tone. If you want a bass that is both classic and classy, the Saratoga is a perfect choice.

"MTD Quality Jazz Bass"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I believe the PUPs are Bartolini passive humbuckers with split nickle jazz style pole pieces. The internet is full of good reviews, and the quality of the build is something Michael Tobias stands behind. Just remember it has Feiten tuning, and you'll may need a Peterson tuner to do it right, but it's worth it. A+
