DiMarzio Fast Track 2 Humbucker Pickup

Get triple the output as a standard single-coil pickup with this Fast Track 2 humbucker pickup. It's a high output, bridge-position-only pickup.

Like a Chopper on vitamins, the Fast Track 2 is a pedal-to-the-floor, side-by-side, twin-blade monster. It's got 3 times the output of an average single-coil, with a huge mid-range punch. The Fast Track 2 is a bridge-position-only pickup with a powerful crunch and grind designed right in. It's particularly useful when you need a tightly focused jolt of power to crank your amplifier into rich overdrive.

Mix the Fast Track 2 with Fast Track 1 and Chopper pickup for an extremely hot, tight sound from any guitar with 3 single-coil pickups. The DP182T is the Tele(tm) version of the same pickup. Recommended For: Bridge position for all Strat-style guitars. The dual-blade polepieces can handle all string-spacing options.

Tech Talk

To get some sense of the Fast Track 2, it's best to think of it as a Strat(tm)-sized version of the Super Distortion(tm) or Super 3, the 2 pickups it most closely resembles. Using a 500K volume control will open up the top end, and this value is recommended. The best neck and middle pickup combinations with the 2 would be relatively hot models like the Fast Track 1 and Chopper. You can also mix it with Stratier models like the Virtual Vintage line, if you're prepared for the jump in power of the bridge position.

I got this for my American Strat that has Texas Specials in it, because I wanted the flexibility that a humbucker would provide....and I was definitely not disappointed. I would definitely recommend this for anyone with a strat looking for a "crunchier" option in the bridge position.
