I will replace these speakers in my club system when I can afford higher end boxes, but I will keep these for a back up or second room system. If these blew or were stolen I would buy another to replace them. What a bargain.
Sound
FOR THE PRICE these are suprisingly good sounding speakers. Of course they need to be used within their limitations. I'm using them as my high/mid cabs crossed over to low bins at around 200hz. My club is small (1250sqft) and I don't like to deafen my guests. I'm using a 400watt NAD hifi amp to power them for dance music and some band and karaoke vocals. They sound powerful and present without being shrill or peaky in the high end.
Ease of Use
I think to get the best sound out of these boxes you need to know a bit about PA set-up. They should be mated with subwoofers to do the heavy lifting, time aligned to the subs and hung or put up on stands. Otherwise, they couldn't be simpler - just a 1/4" in and 1/4" loop through.
Quality
amazingly rugged for the price! The flip up handle in the back would be strong enough to lift a speaker five time the weight.
Value
excellent bang for the buck.
The Wow Factor
This speaker's small size and realatively big sound make it a very versatile addition to my gear list. I found out about them when I borrowed a pair from a friend to do a party and had to buy a pair as soon as I returned the loaners. The fill a niche that I don't see a lot of other speakers filling.
