"Does the job for one who will go it alone"
I might look for another analog sound card that supports 24 bit recording at 48000+ frequencies. The 16 bit/44100 norm is noticibly thin to my ear.
Sound
The sound is clear. The quality of recordings I make to hard drive pretty much matches the original analog sources.
Features
It comes with a control panel and a bundle of software. The software is mostly light versions. I found it necessary to license full featured software for my needs. The control panel is somewhat limited in design.
Quality
I have encountered fatal errors running the drivers/control panel. These were not registered XP compatible as of version 126. My PC manufacturer cannot support the configuration.
Value
I have not regretted the purchase. I only wish the US rep for the product offered more support.
Manufacturer Support
The US representative of TerraTec does not return E-mail to support line. The TerraTec Web site is usable, however.
The Wow Factor
I think there is a place for an analog sound card in this world.
