So happy with my new Tech 21 Rack mount preamp. I have owned Ampeg svt3, Hartke 7000 and 3500, Peavey and yamaha combos.....All were good, but this one is all of them put together and then some.....the front panel xlr volume control is a gig-saver, as are the 20db pads on both the ins and out. Have been using it for recording both bass and guitar....cannot say enough good about this unit.....get a good power amp to go with it! Have not used support, as it is brand new....hope I never have to....

I was unsatisfied with the sound my bass was producing and was about to give up on it and save for something else. It took about 10 minutes of playing with the RBI to know that I had struck gold. Any sound I want in any setting I'm in. I have spent a lot of money on gear over the years, but this may just be the best value for my buck ever. The construction of the unit is solid and it is super easy to use. So whether you are running direct or through your favorite amp, I highly recommend this unit.

I was using a direct box/preamp from a different company it souded ok but it was extremely noisy. I had used a Sans amp on a recording project a while back and remembered it sounded good and you didn't have to work for days to get a tone. The RBI is all that and more. Very versatile and incredible sound. Highly recommended!!

Sound
The sound of this product, is by far the most amazing sound ive ever heard come out of an amp. I used it with an Ampeg Svt3 Pro, and an Ampeg 8x10 Cab. The tone was the fattest, roundest, punchest tone, ive ever heard.

This thing is loaded with knobs that can help bend form and shape your perfect tone.
Quality
I saw the guy drop this in his rack case before the show, i dont know if it was the rack case or the actual item, but it still sounded amazing
Value
If i had the money, id buy 7, one for each day of the week.

Sansamp RBI, i both this item couple weeks ago, last weekend i took it to one of my giggs I connect to the PA and sound engineering was amaze with the sound of my bass it was blowing the whole room...in conclusion i recommend this item 100%if you want to get a HD BASS Sound!!

Sound
This product produces the best tone i can find. I have a BBE Bmax preamp too but this thing is a hoss! I was recently at Guitar Center (complete a craigslist deal) and my drummer pointed it out. I hooked it up to a GK 1001rb and GK 410 Neo and was blown away. This thing gave me tool, rush, mudvayne, DMB and rhcp in one unit...insane found it used and got it for 200$

Simply the best.
Sound
Ampeg SVT tone is nailed - I've heard several A/B comparison clips on the internet against the real deal (Ampeg SVT), with an open poll to vote on which is the "real" SVT and which is the SansAmp. I've been playing for 25 years, and I could not tell, nor could 80% or more of the voters on a bass enthusiast website. I have a hunch some of those that guessed correct - "guessed" correct - know what I mean? I love the meaty, grindy tones & more than you can get with this unit. I also pair mine up with a SansAmp RPM through a Schroeder 21012L cabinet. 90% of the grind however is the RBI itself. Killer tone.
There is always someone trying to telling you why their $10,000 dollar bass rig sounds 5% better than your $300.00 SansAmp. The difference is almost non-perceptible & totally non-perceptible to non-musicians enjoying your music. The SansAmp rocks! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Tons of inputs & outputs with affected & unaffected options. Effect loop with the ability to run in series or parallel (50/50 mix of your effects loop device blended with your clean (or distorted RBI tone) - great for blending some of your original tone with your favorite effects pedals so the bottom end does get lost.
Ease of Use
Simple to operate - use the Blend knob to bring in the right amount of OD/Distortion then rock out!
Quality
Hand made units in the USA - does it get any better? Built like tanks.
Value
Ampeg SVT & Bassman tones at this price? You gotta be kidding me - definitely a 10!

I've owned my SansAmp(s) for several years never had to call - product is reliable & rock solid. Probably will never break down.
