This is the best designed trem out there. I'm mainly strat guy these days, but I've always had a soft spot for Les Pauls. This trem is every bit as stable as my strat trem (and mine are floated and very stable). If I build another strat,(or tele) I'm going to put a stetsbar on it. The bridge/tailpiece moves forward/backward when used, and that is a brilliant design (vs a bigsby which just slackens the strings, causing them to slide and/or bind on the stoptail saddles). As others have noted, you need a properly cut and lubricated nut or you will have intonation problems. I use a mixture of Teflon lubricant and graphite on the stock LP nut and tuning stability is rock solid. Easy to install, but watch everything you can about the installs on YouTube before attempting to do so. Takes a little patience to get setup perfectly (like any trem) but you'll be rewarded and amazed with the results. Top quality, USA made parts. The nickel finish looks great on my goldtop LP (I was worried it would look a little gaudy, but it's perfect - very classy looking).

"A must get"

Great tremolo for a tune-o-matic bridge, without any permanent alterations needed. The bar movement is set nice for my liking, with a smooth transition between upward and downward movements, with no change in tone for me, and slight increase in sustain. There was one problem during the installation that was quickly resolved by calling Eric from Stetsbar. The two bushings for the bridge piece needed to be pulled out to install the stetsbar flush on my guitar (Epi LP Standard). Great price for a great product, just be sure to have either a graphite nut, or purchase the fine tuners available. With the fine tuners a behind the nut locking system will be needed.

"Stestbar Pro II Stoptail Tremelo System really ROCKS! Flying V just needed Nut sauce"

This is a very smooth feeling pitch bar somewhere between a Bigsby and a Strat whammy bar. After I put the Big Bends nut sauce on the nut of my Flying V, the tuning issues were very minor and only with pitch drops of more than a b3rd. It works as well as my roller-nut equipped Strat with big pitch drops. I don't do many bends up in pitch with the whammy on either guitar, so I can't really compare that - I'm always afraid I'm gonna break a string on the Strat, so I just bend up with fingers on both guitars. Very happy with the Stestbar!!!

"Statsbar stop tail tremolo problem"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars

ZZsounds was great, but the stetsbar didn't clear the bottom mounting post of the bridge on my Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro. I used a dremel tool on the bottom side lip for clearance. It purtrudes only a 16th of an inch and is not noticeable, otherwise the stetsbar is wonderful.
Sound
you need to lubricate the nut of the guitar
Features
the bar is easily removable for storing the guitar in a case
Ease of Use
The Stetsbar has adjustments for string height and intonation. The band comments on how good the guitar sounds.
Quality
The Gold Stetsbar looks great, feels mechanically sound, should last a long time.
Value
The price is a little high, but to me it is worth it
Manufacturer Support
I did not contact the company.

"the best tremolo"

Simple setup and more stable than Floyd Rose. It doesn't go as low as a Floyd but comes very close. It has smooth action and no zero-point notch-feel like the mag-lock. The price is about right for what it does. The look of it might not suit everyone.

"Great if you want to keep tuning your guitar"

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Installed on a gibson custom shop zakk bullseye lp. Constantly goes out of tune. A slightly filed nut and tried nut sauce still no good. Guitar is one or the finest available and you figure the nut would be filed perfectly for a 4 g guitar also there is a lot of free play in bar and it rattles. I put a lot of time into setting this up and now I give up if you want a trem get a guitar with a original double locking floyd, and accept your guitar for what it is.
