I purchased this SYN Gates Customer S guitar in silver last year. I've played it with many shows. I get nothing but compliments. I've never had such a well made, perfect sounding guitar in my life! I had a hard to choosing between silver and gold. I purchased the silver one. Opened it up, and laid in the floor next to it, as if I was in some kind of fairy tale. It was in perfect tune straight out of the box. I did minor adjustments to the bridge s I like low action. When I plugged it in and hit the first chord. My soul smiled, and my heart melted into the guitar. So, I picked up the phone, and called in to order the gold one 2 weeks after getting the silver one. The gold is my favorite. Her name is Luci. I ordered the customer cases as well for both of them. Its an absolute perfect fit for the guitars!!! Then I ordered the acoustic SYN model with silver stripes. Its also an amazing sounding piece of art. When you plug it in...... It sounds like a million dollar guitar!!! ZZOUNDS.com is the only place I make my musical instrument purchases. First I will start out saying I originally purchased the Synyster Gates standard , but returned it within a couple days after I realized I wanted the custom S instead. zZounds is absolutely an amazing company to do business with , they quickly refunded my money and I received the custom S the next day. Now getting to this guitar , it's an amazing and beautiful guitar. But don't let the looks fool you , this thing shreds and what sold me was the " sustaniac " , this alone is worth the price. When you hit a note it sings for days , especially with dive bombs. This is not my first Schecter , I also own the demon 6 , which I also love. But the Synyster is on another level , it came out of the box almost completely in tune and intonation was spot on , just tuned it up a little and off I went. It holds tuning well and the floyd rose bridge is amazing , love the fine tuners also. I originally wanted the black with silver , but it was backordered. Got the gold dust and honestly I couldn't be more pleased , the pictures do not do it justice. I'm glad I decided to get this color now , the hardware looks beautiful. The only thing I changed was the toggle switch cap , I put on a gold one to match the knobs and the rest of the hardware. Finally thanks again to zZounds , this was my third guitar I've purchased from them and not my last!!!

This guitar is absolutely amazing. It sounds incredible. The sustainiac pick up is just insane. Very well made guitar. Ordering was extremely easy. I ordered it on a Thursday and received it the next day Friday morning!!! It came ready to go out of the box already in tune and everything. zZounds made it possible for me to own my dream guitar thanks to their payment plan. So I'm not a huge A7X fan. But this guitar is pretty sick for the $. Well built, solid, heavier than I expected. Great sustain (infinite with sustainiac). Great tone for rock or metal. This guitar excels at high gain, aggressive playing. I love the satin gold finish and satin neck. Definitely stays in tune well. It's a big guitar. Hear me out. I'm 6'3" the body of the guitar is larger than my les Paul (not thicker). But thats kinda awesome for me personally. Neck feels great and fast. This neck loves to be tapped. The bridge was very tight out of the box. Not saying that as a negative. Just throw a few dive bombs to loosen it up or you can always adjust it. I love the sustainiac. Just adds to what you can do. While infinite notes at the flick of a switch are cool. I like the center position that sounds like feedback swelling out from the note, but in a very controllable way. The SYN bridge pickup is great. Very good clean sound. Fantastic with distortion. If you're a fan of SYN or just love playing metal and hard rock... this is a great guitar. If you record and need a screaming high gain guitar, this is great.My les paul and strat sound better for blues, in my opinion. I was so happy to see the Satin Gold available. Big thumbs up to zZounds on their fast shipping and customer service. So...Cons:Bridge a bit tight out of the box, but can adjust easy. Little heavier than I expected. Lastly, I hope the gold hardware lasts. I've had bad experiences with gold hardware in the past. Pros:Everything else. Great sound, great neck, great features, stays in tune. Satin gold looks amazing. Great build quality you instantly feel.

I’m fortunate enough to have quite the collection of guitars . The neck , body shape and the Floyd Rose 1500 series. Wow ! Feels like it was made for me . Fits like a good leather glove . The fit , feel and tone can be every guitar you could imagine. To me , Schecter andGates has created the best possible electric guitar . If you’re not a Floyd Rose man , then you’re in tune all the time , I’m just giving an honest review on this guitar, no compensation
