Love every aspect of this bass. I tune Beadf#b, and every part of the range is perfect. Highly prefer it to any of the ibanez or esp's I played.35" scale feels small on this thing and the string spacing is perfect for all styles. Plays well, records well, and sounds great in general. Side note: I have never been a active pickup fan, michelada emgs but I couldn't be happier.

The Schecter Stiletto Studio 6 is a medium-priced 6-string bass. I've had this bassfor about a month now, and I like it a lot. For the money, I don't think there is a better 6-string bass to be found.The Studio 6 has about the narrowest and shallowest neck on the market for a 6-string. It actually specs the same as a couple of Ibanez models, one of which I auditioned alongside the Studio 6. The Studio 6 cost about 20% more, but I found it felt and sounded better.I didn't realize the Studio 6 has a 35-inch scale. My hands are not all that big, and I don't know that I would have selected this bass if I'd know it has an extra long scale. You can feel the difference, but it's not holding me back from playing anything that I can play on a 34-inch scale instrument.POSITIVES: The first thing you notice is how great this instrument looks. The honey brown stainshows off the through-body neck laminations beautifully.The EMG pickups sound great. They produce a clear vibrant sound. You can play chords or double-stops and the strings don't mush together.Until now, my preferred bass has been an ash body Fender active Jazz Bass. With flat wound strings, the sound from the Studio 6 is surprisingly similar to my JB without the noise issues of single coil pickups. The hardware is top notch. The tailpiece is a brass casting with plenty of mass. Thetuners are not name brand, but they are solid and operate smoothly.The feel of the neck is superb. Although the fingerboard has no binding, the edges are beveled to feel smooth against your hand. Fret ends are dressed perfectly.NEGATIVES: The Studio 6 is a little unbalanced. The body isn't quite heavy enough to keep that big neck from tipping down. If the body had been just a little thicker, it would have balanced perfectly. But, this is a heavy instrument. I understand Schecter not wanting to make the body any bigger. Perhaps to improve the balance, they put that strap button atop the lower bout. It seems a little dangerous. I'm definitely using strap locks on this one. On the other hand, with the strap button positioned as it is, this 35-inch scale bass fits comfortably in a case designed for a 34-inch bass. The active EQ could have been a little better, although it works well enough to be noticeably better than a passive tone control.

Great bass for the money. Sounds great, sounds fantastic and looks beautiful. It came down to a choice between an Ibanez BTB 6 string and this Stiletto Studio 6. The Schecter won and I am glad it did. This is my first bass with active electronics. I love having the eq. It's a bit heavy but it's no problem. Set up pretty nice straight from the factory. If I had to do it all over again I'd still go with the Schecter. Very happy with my purchase. GREAT BASS!!!

This bass is exactly what i was looking for. It’s beautiful, sounds great and has an affordable price tag. The matte/satin finish on the black one feels just as good as it looks. Great tone.

I don’t have a bass amp so I can’t say how well it sounds loud however for studio recordings and this bass can handle any style from every part of the world. Light enough to be comfortable for long performances, incredibly stable, EMGs are great for this bass but the sustain from the neck through design resonates with you. Even with just loud studio monitors, nothing sounds off. Out of the box just tune and play! Action is great, if needed you could probably drop it slightly but it’s fine otherwise and I’m kind of picky with that aspect. This is my first Schecter bass and I love it. It’s great for Christian Contemporary, Jazz, Reggae, you name it, it can do it! With zZounds payment plans, it’s very affordable and extremely worth it!

Let me just start this off by saying this is one hell of a bass. I had tried a few Ibanez and ESP 6 string prior to ordering this one and it beats them all by a long shot. I was very pleased by how easy the neck was to adjust to coming from a 4 or 5 string, the neck and fretboard are very reasonably sized and I have smaller hands for a bassist. The stiletto 6 plays with an ease and comfortableness that I haven't come across with other basses in its price range. The string spacing is narrower than some other 6 strings in the market but I don't have much trouble playing with my fingers or slapping. My only gripe would be that the 17th fret marker fell out of place, not sure how or when but I did notice a few days ago it was missing. The EMG's in this bass get tough criticism but I thought the pickups were incredibly versatile and have a punchy sound to them. Other than that, the bass was setup almost perfect out of the box. I am incredibly satisfied with this bass and it has gotten numerous compliments at gigs; it's just a damn good looking instrument.

I brought these bass about 10yr ago(2014) from a local pawn shop here in Memphis. Man I Love this Bass!! I’ve been giving with it since day! I play a lot of gossip blues jazz, funk & southern soul and This bass is the Truth! I has massive tonality and it reflects thru any Speaker or system that it’s connected to! No only is it heavy in tones but in weight as well! I’m looking to buy a new bass and it taking everything in me to not buy this bass again and have 2!!!
