For this price, I don't see selling this or getting rid of it anytime soon. I will gig with it along with my other guitars and if were lost/stolen, i could only hope to get the same deal again.
Sound
Convinced!! that the stock pups are very good. I've read that some say the stock pups are muddy, or not that good.. The truth is, the stock pups are very brilliant in tone, can play clean, and have a nice breakup for distortion. If anyone says the neck pup is muddy, they are playing thru a cheap amp. I play my C1+ thru a JSX 2x12 and I assure you, the notes are low, but not muddy. From standard E, to drop C, the axe sounds sweet. I am used to playing thru hotter pups like Evolution, Tone Zone, Hot Rails, etc.. but this sound is different and when EQ'd right, can give nice lead and rhythm sounds.
Features
From the tuners, fretboard, neck, body, pots, and all, everything sems solid and it dies the job. Stays in tune and the coil tap is cool for clean acoustic style sounds. Only came with some simple tools.... a sticker would have been nice.
Ease of Use
Wow... plug and play! I am a perfectionist when it comes to string action and figured when I got this that I would have to change the strings and set up the bridge/truss rod.... NOPE. Did not make one adjustment. The action is low, intonation, is on, and didn't even have to adjust to drop tuning to 'Drop C#'.
Quality
For the price... a no brainer. Haven't had it long, but everything seems quality for the price.
Value
I got this during a pre Christmas sale and can laugh at what a deal I got. I'd take this over a $800-$1200 PRS or Fender all day. One day people will smarten up and realize all because something is built in Korea doesn't mean its crap.
The Wow Factor
Loved the look of this axe. It's my first ever string thru (out of 13 others with tremelo) and the fretboard inlays are nice.

"Plays as well as it looks."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This guitar is best for rock esspecially 70's rock). It also has an amzing clean jazz sound. If you're a blues player, you're better of with a hollow body. For naything else, this guitar is for you.
Sound
I've owned this guitar for almost 4 days now. It has one of the best vintage sounds i've ever heard from a new guitar. It gives a little too much bass for the more modern rock sound, maybe it's just my amp. Overall I love the sound of this guitar, I am very impressed.
Features
I got the guitar from a local music store who gave me nicer strings, a soft cover case, and a lot of good deals on accessories. Both of the "Duncan Designed" humbuckers sound very different. You can get a very bassy modern sound, or a very nice vintage sound. It has a very smooth neck that is fast and has 24 frets.
Ease of Use
This was my first electric guitar and I figured it out in less than an hour. It has a very manouverable neck that's fast and comfortable.
Quality
The owner at the music store i bought this from said that this guitar has as nice as a finish as any more expensive guitar. I find that true. Everything is sturdy, there's no string buzz, this guitar will last me a long time. I love the silver hardware such as the Grover Tuners.
Value
I got this guitar for $569 plus tax. With the way this guitar plays and being that the list price is $819, I would say I got a great deal on it.
Manufacturer Support
I gave this i 5 because i don't know if Schecter has good customer service or not. I don't think i'll have to find out. I am thinking about putting new pick-ups on it, not sure what kind, probably something by Seymour duncan. The music store seems to have great customer service.
The Wow Factor
This is a beautiful looking guitar. I got it in blue. The silver goes great on it. The neck is extremely appealing. I love the dark maple.

"Best Value in Six Strings"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I currently own 6 other guitars & this is the least expensive of the bunch. And I'm not in the least unsatisfied playing it. Enough said...
Sound
The pickups are similar to Duncan JB & Jazz...very nice. I have 3 amps that I play through and this guitar sounds best through my Line6. It is also nice when I take the time to adjust the settings on my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. It plays surprising well clean, although I prefer it down & dirty with the 'buckers. When in single coil mode (pull out the tone knob) it is also sweet, but definitely not Strat-like or Tele-like. When I want those tones, I pick up a Strat or Tele! It isn't the same as them, but it is nice in it's unique fashion. I also have a Les Paul Studio w/ Burstbucker Pro's and it is a very nice guitar. However, sound-wise this guitar is it's equal IMHO.
Features
Best features: TOM Bridge String Thru Body Split Coil Nice Binding Nice Flame Maple Cap Graph-Tech Nut Already set up w/D'Addario .10's (my faves) Grover tuners How did they do all that for the price I paid?
Ease of Use
The only drawback in the ease of use is getting my fat fingers on the lower registers. This guitar has a full 24 frets. I'm getting used to it, but my 21 & 22 fret Strats will always be easier for me.
Quality
I have played this guitar for a week, every day, and it was set up correctly right out of the box. Best guitar I've ever gotten, quality-wise, right from the shipping box (and this is about the 5th one that I bought that way).
Value
Is there anything higher than 10? I wanted a nice double-humbucked guitar with a maple top that would rock hard and not break the bank. I didn't expect this much guitar for so little money.
Manufacturer Support
No experience, but judging by the first time quality I'm still giving them high marks.
The Wow Factor
If money was no object, I'd have bought the best Gibson Les Paul out there. However, for most people, money is a consideration and for what I paid it was well worth it.

What a beautiful guitar. This is the guitar that really sold me on Schecters. The value is unmatched by anything I've ever come across. After playing some of my other guitars with ebony fretboards, and fancy pickups, I still find myself coming back to this one. My first real guitar. The vector inlays look great, it feels beautiful, and it's very easy to restring. The coil tap really gives this guitar versatility. It can be a massive powerhouse of tone, or with a simple switch, it can be perfectly mated with some distortion. I've had mine for around 6 years, and it's very sturdy. The electronics in mine are acting up a bit, but that is certainly the fault of me not properly caring for it when I was younger and still learning. The volume and tone knobs are very sturdy, andthe toggle switch can be made to act as a killswitch. this is an excellent guitar that has a magnificient price. I would certainly hold on to one of these guitars, because this seems to me it will be very valuable in the future.

"I have nothing but great things to say about this guitar."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I have had my C1+ now for over 7 years...I have bought 6 other guitars since, and I still always find myself picking this thing up first off the wall. It is built extremely well for the price, and maintains it's intonation perfectly. I would however recommend putting a different set of pickups and tone pots / capacitor in depending on what kind of sound you're going for. This guitar will last you forever though, put a couple extra bucks into the electronics and watch this thing transform to something incredible. (I personally put bare knuckle rebel yells in mine, and changed out the nut for camel bone, it wasn't necessary but a luthier convinced me to do it haha)I play it way more than the guitars I spent over triple the price on. Schecter did right by this guitar. Highly recommend!

"The "Poor Man's PRS"."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
A great guitar for the price that feels and plays differently (and I think better) than any other strat of gibson i've ever played. More like a poor man's PRS, if anything. Looks good, sounds good, and plays great. I think its great for players who are looking to get a second guitar, replace their first (usually really crappy) guitar.
Sound
A very good and clear sound when played clean, low end bass comes in a little too low when your tone is turned down and you are playing on the low-e string. Very crisp otherwise. When played dirty, it's tough not to get a good sound out of the bridge pickup, very Led Zep. Bridge pickup good with a little crunch, but becomes muddy when played with heavy distortion. Probably because of the lightweight design and skinny neck, the natural sustain isn't very good at all on this guitar. I suggest using overdrive pedal for better sustain on solos. If I were to replace one thing on this guitar, I'd switch out the stock pickups with a Seymour Duncan jazz setup in the neck and bridge. Don't get me wrong, it sounds good, but still lacking. GREAT for the price.
Features
Tone knob really SUCKS, it barely works to lessen the bite of this guitar, so its not really great for Jazz applications where you need to turn your tone way down. Other than the tone knob lacking, this guitar has great features. It's lightweight for a solid body, thin neck to really make playing a breeze, and though the sustain isn't naturally great, thats quickly remedied with the correct overdrive peadal. Push-pull knob is a great feature, almost like having an overdrive pedal on your guitar for an extre +5 db of sound when you need it. I like to set up the guitar on my peavey's distortion channel, dial in a little distortion with the coil untapped, and push the tap down when I need to really get some crunch. Completely different sound and feel when it is tapped, and very useful
Ease of Use
Very easy to use and fun to play. Has a very simple sound to it, which you can build on endlessly with the right efx. Very easy to pick up and start using. Eveyone i've had play this guitar picked it up and got used to it very quickly. Very skinny neck = very playable guitar.
Quality
Finish isn't the great quality, but they hardware (aside from pickups) is pretty top notch. Grover pickups on mine were a little stiff, but they loosened up with time, and work great.
Value
I think it's a great guitar for the price. Make sure you try it out first though. It's not a fender strat sound, and its not a les paul sound, make sure its for you.
The Wow Factor
This guitar is often complimented for its looks. Wine red finish, chrome detail on hardware, and the inlays are all real sharp looking.

Schecter C1 Plus Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I am not an early adapter. I expect to stay with Schecter for a long time, probably longer than I have left to live... I'm 50 and still rockin'.
Sound
Should anyone out there have the B%&* to say anything compromising about the sound shouldn't be playing guitar, but in NASA saving us a lot of money!!!! These DS Pickups just haVE IT.
Features
Maybe a toggle to split the pickups from HB to SC. Still I love every bit of it.
Ease of Use
I gave up Ibanez and Gibson (and I MEAN gave away) just to stay with Schecter. They had the guts to make a great sounding instrument that is so easy to play!!!
Quality
Compared very favorably with each of the Gibsons, Fenders and Ibanez I at one time or another bought new... and I got my first electric in 1965 (Teisco 2 pickups sunburst).
Value
The C1 + has a great preice or what I got.. but with my other guitar, a Damien FR, I feel like Schecter almost damaged the market because placing a guitar with Floyd Rose , EWMG's and 24 X-Jumbo frets on the market for less than $400 is uncalled for. The C1+?? Hell, I paid almost twice for a Gibson about 3 years ago and thinking of it, I would have paid the same or my Schecter. I just love it!!
Manufacturer Support
I can't say how they helped me because it wouldn't be fair... but let's just say that right after a car accident I had, they were the first ones I called and the response was FANTASTIC. These guys know how to keep a client happy without going overboard.
The Wow Factor
The strat-like body with the classical Schecter upgrade makes it a killer... a MONKEY WOMAN GUITAR!!

"Great buy highly recomended sweet looks and sound"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
im not going to be looking for one for a while now, this my main guitar and i dont need an alternative if this guitar broke its probly because of my dumbass so ill just buy another of these, this guitar is once again very sturdy, i would like the crunch like the strat but i can buy a pedal for that :D i tried a gibson sg, i didnt like the pickups too hot, and les pauls are too cliche, PRS are too expenive, so this one suits me just fine.
Sound
well the sound is really nice, great smooth cleans, its got pretty good sustain, it has a good distorted sound even on a not so high quality amp, (rogue 65 watt) but dont get seymour duncan and duncan designed pickups, the pickups sound good but they arent seymours.
Features
the guitar came with an extra 1/4" mono amp cord, and a set of allen wrenches, for adjusting action, intonation, and truss rod tention, one of the features that i must mention is the coil tap, i really like it im used to playing a strat so its handy when i play something with humbuckers, it doesnt give such a fat crunchy tone but still really nice, the only thing i didnt like about the tap is that when it was active you get that strat "hum"
Ease of Use
the guitar didnt come with an instruction manual but it was easy to figure out, it sounded good runing through my computer too, this is a pick up and play instrument the inlays arent dots but there are dots on the side for some of the very novice players, its playability is rad you cant get better for the price, unless you buy used gear and even then its close
Quality
this guitar is made very well, i played a couple different shecters and they all seem pretty high quality throughout the price ranges, the finish i have is wonderful(black cherry) it looks much better in first person but the finish is high gloss so it fingerprints very easily, everything is on tight and good to go, i use this guitar in studio and playing live sounds good either way, this is a very sturdy guitar with a 3 piece nece that goes through the body, i think that this guitar will last 25+ years, with work gotta replace frets every now and again, polish, and conditioning.
Value
i got more than enough bang for my buck, this guitar is an awesome buy if your contemplating this purchase highly recomended
Manufacturer Support
ive never had to contact support, ive only had the guitar since the holidays though, the action was a little high for me but that is a quick fix, i wanted to check out the electronics on everything to if it is easy to work with, and it seems easy to work with and upgrade etc. so im pleased with the set up but i dont think ill be needing support
The Wow Factor
this is a beautiful guitar, asthetically aswell as electronically, its nice and balanced the neck thru makes it very solid, this guitar is useful for sound just as well as bragging to the guys, and gals.

"Close to perfect"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
The SH102 pickups and coil tapping that come with this guitar today make it just about perfect. Locking tuners and slightly lower action are all I have planned for it now - and there's no rush on either. I'm not likely to ever part with this guitar.
Sound
Changed a little since I bought mine - my original Duncan Design pickups were based on the ceramic "Duncan Distortion" model - hard edge, fine for noisy stuff but not too good clean. The C-1's selling today have different Duncan Design pickups, based on the SH-2 and SH-4, "Jazz" and "JB" models instead - a better match for general use, and the one suggested by SD himself. I put real Seymours in mine and chose those same models with coil tapping for max. flexibility. It's a tone monster now - and the C-1's come almost exactly this way, just without the SD price! Better deal than ever. I would rate the sound only a 7 the way mine came.
Features
Having 2 volumes is nice for blending tones in the middle switch position.
Quality
Simply awesome - there's just no way to justify what Gibsons cost, for example, or PRS, when you see the build quality and hear the tone Schecter's getting for 1/4 to 1/3 the price. Mine has a superb, probably AAA maple top. The bindings are perfect. You do have to pick them over to get the best lookers, but quality's not an issue.
Value
Again - price this guitar against an LP or a PRS - incredible value.
Manufacturer Support
Helpful in providing wiring info so I could coil-tap the guitar. Good to know: the stock pickups, even though not real Seymours, are 4-wire and can be tapped. Again, the new guitars already are tapped.
The Wow Factor
Absolutely the sexiest guitar I've touched below a few grand. The inlays, the flamed maple sunburst, the bindings - flat out stunning. People gawk at this guitar.

I have owned this guitar for about 4 months and I still love it and even when I get a new one I know I will always want to play it.I am really glad I got it and if I had the chance I would get it again. I strongly suggest you at least try it.
Sound
this guitar has a very thick sound to it. nice for rock, metal and even blues.
Features
this is a nice guitar, but theres no tremolo and the pickups arent really my tast. I like heavy metal, but this still has a amazing sound to it.
Quality
This product is amazingly well built, ecspecialy for its cost. You could compare the quality of this to a les paul easily. Very nice!

"You have to own this guitar"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Very satisfied, but then I own too many guitars anyway since I just like them. I have the cherry finish C1+ Schecter and actually love the sunburst just as well so if my wife wouldn't come unglued I'd own one of those as well.
Sound
I own several guitars, acoustic and electric from a Gibson Les Paul Studio, to Fender strat,Martin, etc and have a Schecter Omen 6 in addition to this C1+. This C1+ is beautiful and plays as well as any guitar I've played or own.
Features
This has everything you need.
Quality
Seems well finished with no flaws
Value
excellent value. This Schecter compares nicely to a PRS costing thousands more

"A really fine guitar for the money!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I will most likely keep it a long time, but I would definitely consider Schecter for my next serious purchase. I would like to try one of the more expensive models that have more hardware and finer electronics.
Sound
The sound from the factory strings is very good, however, they don't keep their tune very well. I replaced them with D'Angelica Ultra light stainless steel flat wound. These strings stay tuned. The definition is a little dull but the highs are clean and the low tones are rich. This also reduced string noise on slides and transitions.
Features
The center tapped pickups take a little time to get the idea of how to apply them, but this feature offers interesting combinations of voice and the way the sustain works with some effects. The through the body string retention makes it really simple to re-string. And of course the Grover tuners are silky smooth.
Ease of Use
The neck is thin and fast, finger pressure is tight at the nut and easy farther up, bar chords are a breeze.
Quality
The fit and finish is beautiful, I would say that it is better than many expensive instruments costing thousands of dollars. The hardware is very good. Quality chrome plating on metal parts. The frets are very clean and smooth. My guitar was setup correctly and was received in perfect condition. I also bought the Schecter case for it, the guitar fits perfectly in it.
Value
Yes, this guitar is worth every penny.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't needed any warranty calls, but I would imagine that they are okay because of the good factory setup and inspection.
The Wow Factor
I don't know if it is "sexy" but it is truly a work of art, engineering and craftsmanship. I guess you can compare it to a new Corvette or some exotic sports car. It is simply a pleasure to own.

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

I spent days looking for guitars--playing all of the $1000+ ones to "move up" from the second-hand "no-name" one's I've always used. I tried out a used Schecter C1+ just because it was in front of me. The thing played like a dream, fast, balanced--just blew the other ones away. I kept going back to the expensive ones since I was so confused as to why the C1+ was so much better than the others. That was several years ago--and that Schecter is sitting in front of my right now!

"Good tone. Great looks. Very Happy."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I have had no problems and I am very happy with both of my purchases.
Sound
It sounds really nice with a smooth, buttery, clean tone. It really works well with a gross amount of overdrive and fuzz. The neck is a bit thicker than my Jackson and Ibanez, but that helps produce a thicker sound. Great for palm muting. Plenty of jazzy sounds out of the neck pickup. Not quite as hot as EMG but the duncan designed PUs have plenty of body.
Features
The string-thru-body tune-o-matic bridge gives great sustain. Harmonics hold for a very long time. The mahagany body gives a very rich tone. The set neck feels very sturdy and also gives greater sustain. Nice binding around the neck and body. Good fretwork. Low action without buzzing. Exceptional inlays. Very nice abalone and mother of pearl. It would be nice to have a coil tap so you could get some single coil tones. Maybe a five way switch would work.
Quality
Nicely constructed but not quite as flawless as a LP or PRS. Quite a bit of detail paid to binding and inlays. The finish is a 9 out of 10. The tuners work a bit loose after many months of hard playing. The rosewood fretboard has a slight open grain, but with oiling it will look smoother and tighter. I travel with both of my guitars, and they have held up very well. Be sure to keep an eye on the strap buttons. They tend to work loose after a while.
Value
Very good value. Quality equal to an american Fender.

"Don'y buy a Schecter.....buy two!!!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I will probably buy another Schecter, possibly the Classic for the versatility in tone or maybe the aesthetically pleasing C1 Elite with it's light sleek body and gorgeous minimalist inlays.
Sound
Schecter keeps the $ down on this by using decent, but not amazing sounding pickups. It's all a matter of personal taste - this thing has a full heavy sound and great sustain and with a decent amp both the cleans and the dirty sound great.
Features
2 volumes and a tone with a 3 way toggle gets you a fairly verstaile sound - lacking a coil tap or a 5way switch as are on the next price level up - the C1+ still has some nice clean tones.
Quality
I have seen the bridge on two other C series guitars have a few minor flaws, but mine seems to be ok. The finish is gorgeous, the inlays are very tasteful the balance is great, it plays great . The intonation is true so far. I play it setup Drop C. New strings seem to take a little long to break in so it stays in tune, but I have friends that play 1 hours sets beating on the C series and never have to tune it.
Value
For the $, it is an amazing product!
Manufacturer Support
No Complaints from me.
The Wow Factor
It's really a beautiful instrument.

This thing is amazing, ive got the XXX version of the C1 with a coil tap, but these guitars are outstanding, ive played gibsons, fenders, ibanezes, but this thing towers over everything in terms of comfort, tone and playability. I walked into a store on day not expecting to buy another guitar, but after playing this thing, i knew i would be sadly disappointed without it. yes, its that good. The neck is smoother than butter, and the pickups are balanced nicely with good chunk and endless sustain from the set neck and string through body. You woundn't find a better deal, even for 3 times what things baby costs.
Features
no, hardtail. no tremolo thank you.
Quality

"My C-1 Plus is SWEET"

Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Handing out 9's simply because I cannot give a perfect rating knowing I want more, be it today or down the line I'm never satisfied. The C-1 Plus is a wonderful guitar though and I love mine.
Sound
I love my C1+, it's a thing of beauty! Nice clean sound, once I got it I was playing for hours!
Features
Nothing much here. I wasn't looking for much, which is why I settled on this little gem.
Ease of Use
It's a guitar. Put your fingers on and strum... LOL. No f'real, my C1+ plays well. Fast and smooth, frets are nice.
Quality
Hey, so far I've had NO issues at all. Very well made guitar and I'm happy.
Value
Paid versus List Price? I am stoked with what I got! There are some brick and mortars here that sell MSRP, and knowing what I paid for mine puts a smile on my face every time. The C1+ is WAY worth the money.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had the chance to deal with them yet.
The Wow Factor
Oh, my Vintage Sunburst is eye candy for sure. The WOW factor is still the same today as the day it came in.

"STOP! this is the best guitar for your money hands down. BUY IT"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
the duncan designed pickups arent top of the line butfor the money they sound great besides you can always replace them with some authentic seymours or pop some emgs in.
Features
it has two volume controls which is more convinient id prefer two tone knobs but the one works fine, but it does have the single coil tap feature which is great. it sounds like a classic strat, put it on clean and youll find yourself experimenting with some chili peppers, mabye dirty it up a bit and you can blow out some yngwie.
Ease of Use
the guitar was very easy to handle from the very begging i had no trouble lowering the action, the tuning knobs stay tight and never go out of tune, the guitar is made to flow and ur adjustments are quick and painless.
Quality
overall this guitar is perfect except for one thing. the jack nut came loose and me being an idiot tightened it without holding the wires inside so i accidently ripped the line, but it wasnt anything a quick sauder couldnt fix. but other than that once i tightened up the jack nut everything is solid. the neck stays in place, the humbuckers are tight it doesnt scratch too easily and its very easy to clean.
Value
i bought this guitar for 499.99 and i wouldve paid at least 400 more the guitar is excellent and the finish is just as nice as any 1500 dollar guitar out there.
Manufacturer Support
like i siad i did have a problem witht the jack nut but that was my own fault and i didnt have to contact the company but im sure they wouldve been happy to help even though i got a free year warranty on it when i bought it.
The Wow Factor
the guitar is very smoooth for quick action, the frets are small so your fingers just glide over it and the finish is just the most beautiful thing in the world its definatly a very sexy guitar. if i had to describe it would be a sexy foreign babe who doesnt ask questions and does what shes told. "youll understand if you buy it"

Well, it isn't the best but not far from it. This guitar kicks ass and I highly reccomend it.
Sound
It sounds great - Much better tone than my schecter 7-string.
Features
Perfectly suitable/appropriate accessories. No problem.
Quality
Great quality. This is a beautiful, great sounding, and ruggid guitar for the price. I love it. I'm almost scared to play it sometimes, afraid I might "hurt" it somehow . . hmm . .
Value
I got mine used, but nearly brand new and for a great price - but knowing this guitar, I could have potentially paid the full price - brand new. It's worth it.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had to deal with schecter support ever, so I rate their "support" a 7 by default, as I assume their support services are just fine and well . . 7 is my favorite number, see.
The Wow Factor
It's right sexy, I tell you.

Value

"AN AWESOME GUITAR FOR THE PRICE."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
The only thing that kept this guitar out of the 9-10 point range (for me personally) was the hardware.
Sound
Sound gets a 9.5. It was hard to believe I was playing a $600 guitar...this guitar had sustain that rivals a $4000 Les Paul. A rich tone...deep and bluesy in the humbucker position, clean and tight with the rear pickup...and no buzz to be found anywhere!! I played it through both a Fender Twin Reverb two-ten combo and a Mesa half-stack, I was impressed both times. In fact, I thought it sounded BETTER than the PRS I played through the same amps (a guitar costing 3 times as much)!!
Features
The playability is a solid 9 ...a very fast, contoured neck with full-sized frets. I wish it had a Floyd Tremolo, but other than that it is a great guitar.
Quality
The quality is superb, fit and finish is outstanding with acception to the hardware. I didn't care for the knobs and pickup switch, they felt cheap and didnt turn easily (I tried three different guitars to make sure it wasn't just a bad setup and found the same thing on all three). This may be just an individual gripe since I'm use to the Gibson large plastic knobs.
Value
This is a great guitar for the price...and currently on sale, its an amazing deal...I'm buying one with my tax return!!

The Wow Factor
The flametop is beautiful...looked as good as any PRS or Les Paul I saw there.

"Very Good Guitar"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Im so happy with this guitar. If something bad happened where it broke or something i would buy it again in a heartbeat. This guitar is a keeper.
Sound
The sound of this guitar is VERY good for the money. On clean it sounds really warm and smooth, while on distortion you can go from extremely heavy thrashing to a smooth and melodic tone- the sound is endless. The coil tap is great, i find that if i keep the pickups together while it is on it sounds almost exactly like a tele. One of my good friends owns a Gibson SG, and to tell you the truth i just like the sound of my Schecter better than the SG, though the sound of the SG is very good. I find that the guitar sounds best on a Marshall amp. The pickups are very good, but are not top of the line. i havent found the need to replace mine with anything else because they do sound very good anyway.
Features
It does have Grover tuners, but what i like the most about it is the coil tap. A whammy bar would have been nice.
Ease of Use
just plug it in and play.
Quality
I've had the guitar for about a year now and i havent had any trouble with it, but it came with a small blemish or two. In the future Schecter should think about not having them be made in South Korea. The guitar itself is holding up very well and i have had no problems with it yet, although the input jack came a little loose. I had it tightened and that didnt quite work, so i think i might have it replaced, which is not a big deal.
Value
For the money, i cant stress what a good guitar this is. In my opinion it rivals many much more expensive guitars. I like it better than my friends SG and it can get almost identical to the signature sound of a telecaster. The range of sound is just so huge.
Manufacturer Support
I havent had to deal with the company yet.
The Wow Factor
I have the blue version of this guitar and it is SO pretty. The pearl inlay is so good. Ive had so many compliments on it, sometimes i wish i had a see through case to carry it around in so peaople could see it. Everything about it is so well done and so good looking. If im trying to show off my skills to girls i want to play this guitar because it is so good looking. When showing off, you not only want to have skills but good looks as well!

I give this category a 9 because one of my pots came dirty when I received the guitar.

GREAT GUITAR! AND IVE HAD IT FOR ABOUT 4-5 YRS AND I LOVE IT, NEVER 1 PROBLEM
Sound
If you like a heavy tone, like a strong bass and deep mellow sound in your clean tone, this is a great great guitar. I absolutley love it, its so much fun to play. The distortion pending on how you play with your settings is also great as well. The guitar is def. a poor mans prs but holy crap the sound in really there.
Features
Not too many, but I dont touch the tones, because it just sounds great. I serisouly have not had an issue with this guitar at all, thats why I bought it in the first place
Ease of Use
SO EASY TO PLAY. Neck is easy to slide up and down and just makes for ease and comfort.
Quality
Solid guitar, I think Ive dropped it twice, and nothing, not a nick or anything. The finish is ok, nothing specatacular, but I didnt buy the guitar for the finish.
Value
This product if your an intermediate guitar player to pro this thing is awesome. I usually choose this baby over my les paul studio. Only because of its ease and its more fun to play.
Manufacturer Support
NO IDEA?
The Wow Factor
When you see it, it looks like just another guitar, but when you sit down and play it, its obviously different.
