This XDJ-1000 mk2 is absolutely amazing! Unless you use CDs, this is the last turntable you will ever need. Rekordbox software has come a very long way and version 4 is very user friendly, effective, and accurate at beat slicing/matching. This XDJ-1000 mk2 really is incredible.. they've fixed the few things that were holding back the original XDJ-1000 and upgraded almost everything on it. The only thing it doesn't have is a CD player and a jog wheel tension adjust knob. But everything else on this turntable is very impressive. The touch screen is extremely responsive and the color is bright and detailed. You should definitely check these out. They make the CDJ-2000nxs seem like a waste of money, unless you are still playing CDs. My current setup is with 2 XDJ-1000mk2s and 2 classic CDJ-1000s.. since you can't beat match the CDs anyway, I'd rather separate them.. and spend half as much money on all of the features in four channels.

Where do i begin with this unit... it is utterly amazing for what you pay for... and the big question for me upon buying this unit was just how sensitive was the touch screen gonna be. I was pleasantly surprised to find you can do some pretty good beats w the hot cues! you can't go insanely fast as it won't register if the touch is too close to the previous.. but its still pretty good!! The latency between your touch and when it plays feel non existent... i find it incredibly easy to make a small beat and release on beat with the other player. the screen is bright and crisp and very easily navigated. i have it hooked it up to my network switch in the house to access rekordbox and there was no lag. i'm not too fond of the finish on the jog wheels as the high glass made it stick to my fingers more than i'd like when trying to scratch.. not knocking a point for it though as i'm sure with the normal wear that won't be an issue. Would i have gone with 2000's if i could afford?! most definitely without a doubt... have played with those and are absolutely in love with them.. but with these you honestly are not missing out on much at all!!

This things are as good as nexus cdjs. Looks and sounds as good also. The only thing I would add a jog wheel adjustment but where it is,is good but I will like it to be a little looser for when I scratch. The last time thing no CD slot but who uses cds. I Had them about 2 years now and they are as good as new.

I bought these to replace my current cdjs 850s and I'm very impressed. Firstly, the fact that I can play other files outside of waves and MP3s is a plus. Secondly, the on board features are spontaneous. And thirdly, I can connect a hard drive to the USB ports, superb! But, I still on my 850s as I still have cds and it's just easier find tracks on a cdj than using a pc.
