Just get it !!! I've had different controllers in the past numark hercules etc this is the best hands down !! Serato is a beast with this mixer and since it's a stand alone mixer you can add other music sources to it for flexibility. High quality audio output,rgb pads,large jog wheels are only the beginning !!! Get one and start mixing now!!

I'm very happy with my Pioneer DDJ-SX2 DJ Controller. I come from a background where I started with 2 turntables and then I reluctantly moved to a CD mixer. Being a much older DJ, but a computer savvy guy I have totally embraced this technology. I'm still learning all of the features but with Serato DJ and this controller a whole new way of mixing has been opened up to me and those who I teach to mix.

Having owned the SX, SX2, and the SZ2...I came back to the SX2. I just downgraded from the SZ2 because of the size(but, I do miss the jog wheel size), and except for a couple of features that I don’t use/need, the SX2 should suit most Mobile DJs needs. It’s the perfect size for most any venue, lightweight and portable.....the only things I would wish for are adjustable jogwheel tension(coming from the SZ2, it’s a feeling to get used to again, along with the lack of backspin because of it), and again the jogwheel size( once you go bigger, it’s hard to go back). So, don’t hesitate if you’re thinking about getting one. You won’t be disappointed.

Excellent product by Pioneer as always. The mic input is infinitely better, as there is less feedback and distortion. I only play out 2x a week, so this can definitely handle the use that comes with the territory. Great buy and well worth it if you're on the fence.

This controller does it all, I use it daily and it has GREAT Sound. Works perfect with the included Serato DJ software. I have updated to use DVS and it work Flawlessly. zZounds make it easy for you to get the gear you need for all your DJ needs. I am just about done with all my payments and will be making my next order for all the other gear i need, zZounds ROCK!

I have slider, equalizer, and hi/lo pass filter control over my mic, and back up device. The platters are just right, and the assignable colored touch pads look really cool. Over all, it has all the options I need for quality mixes without packing in a ton of gear.

I've had the did SX2 for 2 years I'm up grading to 2 turntables later this year it's easy to use my only dislike is that the buttons get stuck easily but overall a 5 star buy it's been a good controller for me and has made my shows be the talk of the town

I LOVE this controller. I went from a hercules instinct, to a pioneer ddj sr, to the pioneer ddj sx2 over the course of 2 years. I upgraded to the SX2 after I realized that I didn't want to be a "bedroom dj" anymore. The controller is feels great. The build quality of it is wonderful. My most inportant phyiscal feature on a controller is the jog wheels. The jog wheels are built with plastic on the sides, and some form of metal on the top. It doesn't feel cheap like the ddj SR jog wheels. Although not as real as the Numark controllers(my opinion), it still feels good. It took me about a 2 weeks to master the controller (with the help of YouTube), and I there are many features. I've recently decided to go public with DJ-Ing. I've done about 5 different venues (clubs and bars), that all included around 50-80 people. With my DDJ SX2 and my Mackie Thump 15s, each of my events went extremely well. My only complaint is the mic feature. Unfortunately if you want to use a mic with your controller, you have to use a channel...which will be one of your decks. So if you use a mic, you will have 3 decks instead of 4. Way to go pioneer..... Other than that, I love the ddj sx2.

Best controller in the 1,000 range. Great for someone who wants a 4 channel mixer that suits anyone from a beginner to a pro dj. If your looking for a simply amazing investment and enjoy playing with music as much as I do then this is for you and with Pioneer being my favorite manufacturer in the industry it's a no brainier. Also Serato has and still is the best software out there in my opinion if you want to look like the real deal!

This is a great controller and does pretty much everything the ddj-sz2 does, but for a lot less money. It is also smaller so makes it more convenient carrying to gigs. Great price on a really nice controller and zZounds price matches, so can't beat that!

Was a lot more impressed with this controller than i thought i would be seeing i mainly use cdi's and/or 1200's, many options, very easy to move around in, many features for the size, overall fairly impressed with it.
