Im all about peavy. I have 2 of these speakers. From other postings I think u dont have somthing set right or u have to small of pa to push them. In therory if not enough power goin to those speakers on that model u will blow them. Yea weird huh. Check your setup make sure u have a bigger pa to push them.

Tweeters crackle at even medium Volume..Horrable I think I need to replace them already..Protection???is that what peavey calls it???
Using a mackie 808's 600 watt per side and the speakers cant even handle that...High Price junk..Buy the speakers with the Horns stay away from this model..
