Prior to receiving this amp I mainly played through a Fender Hot Rod Deville. I ordered this with the idea of having a lower watt amp and one that is more portable than the Hot Rod Deville. The photos if this combo unit are a little bit misleading in that it looks about the size of Boogie Mark IV or other 1 x 12 combos. In actually this is the same size as the 4x10. The Sound: Love it. A clean channel that didn't break up to early (ala Fender) was very important to me. This hits nail on the head. The way the two channels work their is a gain on the clean channel also. So if you turn the clean channel volume (gain) in the eq section up but use the clean master to set your volume you'll get some break up that is reminiscent of a low watt tube amp cranked. Both channels have a great touch sensitive percussive quality. This is really where the amp shines better than any that I've played. Some of the Rhett Smith demos on Youtube really emphasize this. You have to really tweak the eq to dial in your tone but once you do this thing really sings. I suppose the kindest words to say about this amp is that it really lets you hear your guitar. If you have several and alternate them you'll know what I mean. I don't use the lead channel as much but for my purposes its perfect. More gain than I'll ever use.

I recently purchased this amp and still learning. Played a gig and it really sounded great. Still working with variety of tone it delivers. It was heavier than I thought but still travels well. Plenty of power and you can dial it down and still get great tone.
