I've had lots of amps, some big and some small - This is one of my most anticipated and self-hyped releases orange has ever done. Now let me make something clear with a disclaimer - I am primarily a doom and stoner rock musician, so I was in the market for an Orange anyways. It's hard to see myself playing many other kinds of amps as my primary brand, but this is also the first orange that I've owned. I am also a Mastodon fan, a HUGE Mastodon fan. I think they have some of the most crushing and awesome guitar tones on the planet. This amp doesn't disappoint on those promises and more. Now you may be thinking this is just a Rocker 15 with a fresh skin, but it's pretty much a completely different amp. Lots of Marshall characteristics break through this from head to toe (unsurprising as Brent is a huge user of Marshall plexis and the like), and the gain on this goes pretty heavy for doom and stoner like tones, but not bone crushing chigging like you'd expect. This is remedied with a boost, but also a reminder that Mastodon doesn't play with...well really all that much gain. Cranking the Master volume up brings nice and much appreciated tube saturation, and will peel paint from the walls if you aren't careful. This also brings a nice come around to the Headroom/Bedroom switch. An Orange with a built in Attenuator? Yes please! Sure I'd have loved a knob like on the Rockerverbs but at this price I can't complain. Mind you even at .5W this thing is still incredibly loud when turned up. Great feature all the same and I'm loving it every step. There's lots more I could say; the stylistic amp choices, the amazing "Natural" Channel (sure its clean but not very. Not an issue though, no one is buying oranges for pristine cleans), and the amazing build quality that makes it feel like you have a piece of a tank sitting on your cab. The big takeaway is that if you are looking for an amp that combines the amazing bark of a Marshall and the grind of an orange with a versatile platform, this is it. Get one and strap in, you're in for a great ride.

This little guy is a beast! Definitely packs a punch. Clean channel is set well but theres no eq control. Just for the dirty channel. Still super stoked I got this bad boy.
