"A VERY VERSATILE STAND ATTACHMENT"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Sound
This is a keyboard stand extender. It doesn't make any sounds unless you bang the two pieces together!
Features
This stand extender can be modified to use for more unorthadox mounting applications. I modified and attached it to the back of a yamaha HS 4 organ so I could mount a Tyros 2 workstation on top of the organ and angle it for better use. It works great!

"It's a decent 2nd tier if you hack off 7 inches."

If this wore out, I would just get another 2 tier stand. With the economy the way it is, this does the job.

Features
You can't adjust the height! Plus it sits 12 inches above your second keyboard. I knew buying this, it would be a problem, but I didn't want to spend $90 for high quality stand. Luckily 15 minutes with a drill and a hacksaw lowered this by 7 inches, and now it works fine.
Quality
it's cheap, you get what you pay for. But after hacking it with a saw, it works perfectly.
Value
You get exactly what you need, a decent 2nd tier, if you're willing to mod it.

"You'd be better off geting a new stand."

It works for a cheap 2nd tier, I might take it on a road trip as a junker (to toss out afterward) but wouldn't take it on a 2nd.
Features
It's basic tilt action. and widens with stand. No up/down or back/forth motion here.
Ease of Use
This thing seems easy to use, but then you have to deal with using the 'teeth' on the tilt and you realize why this was so cheap. Anlso moving the bar out when widening the stand it a pain. The way it sits on the stand (at least the one I have) makes it very hard to get full use of the lower unit.
Quality
It pretty solid once you've tightened the movement out of it, but the teeth are already showing some wear after just putting it together. The spring system in the teeth doesn't always work and will sometime 'pop out' the arm portion away from the riser.

This small stand worked fine. It's not the fanciest or strongest, but it works and it was very inexpensive. Thanks zZounds.
