I read the other reviews before buying. The kick mic stand is really nice. The mic clips are more sturdy than I thought they would be. The clip and stay on my rims. I don't have any issues with placement.

I bought this kit about a while ago from zZounds, and it has not held up well. I've maybe only used it a dozen times. This kit seems like something that should be half the price. The screws on the drum mic clips are constantly needing to be tightened or they will fall apart during a gig. One clip has broke completely, where it tightens to the rim. They don't have much adjust-ability either, and the threads that go into the mics are 2 piece and are constantly coming loose from each other. The kick mic stand isn't much better, but I guess it gets the job done. It doesn't tighten up too well, and don't let anyone bump into it on stage or it can fall over easily. These MAY be OK for studio use, but certainly not for gigging. I don't plan on buying on stage brand products ever again. I just bought an audix drum mic kit that came with clips that are WAY better and should last for years.
