"Perfect for my Needs..."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Will and does work perfect with what I wanted it for. I was running the AVT50 through a 1960A, but I bought a JCM 900 and needed another cab. I would replace it I had too.
Sound
Even if it is a low range in the product Line this does provide the Marshall sounds with he right head to drive. I bought this to use with my Marshall AVT50 Head to keep for practice. It works perfect. No rattles, even sound with highs and lows. Can even get a mild rumble out.
Features
It's a 412 Cab. This one has a 1/4" Female plug. Would be nice if they included casters.
Ease of Use
Can't get any easier to use. I did install Ernie Ball Pop Out Casters. I'm just to old to lift anymore. It weighs in at almost 70lbs!.
Quality
Well made no quality issues put together well. No rattles or buzzing.
Value
Low price for a quality product.
Manufacturer Support
Marshall seems to avoid answering email requests on their web site but service has always been perfect.
The Wow Factor
It is a Marshall with the logo. Black cab and white logo. How sexy can you get?

"Mg cabinet"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Purchased a slant cabinet. Great sound. Great projection. Used it in a large venue. Performance was great. It took the punishment. Too bad they stopped making them. Remember folks, it is a Marshall. It is good. Found no problem with the MG line of amps also. They are a true 100 watt Marshall.Great product from a great company.

"Great aaffordable cabinet."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This cabinet has served well, I do believe lost or stolen it would be replaced with same, however there is a slight possiblity that i might go with a Beringer in the event of this one missing.
Sound
I find for the price it has a good consistant tone to it, very neutral. It reproduces what you send to it very well.
Features
It is a cabinet , it isn't supossed to bring you coffee, but I have added castors to mine just so it doesn't have to be carried everywhere it goes.
Ease of Use
Plug and play.
Quality
It seems well built for being as light as it is for a 412 cabinet. I personally like the all black (except for the Marshall logo across the front)
Value
I think this cabinet is a very good value at under $300.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had any problems with this product to have needed to use thier support but Marshall has been around forever I am sure they must have good support or with as many options are out there they wouldn't still be.
The Wow Factor
I will add another to my half-stack by going with a mg412a straght front for the bottom of the stack.

"This Cabinet ROCKS!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
I have been playing guitar for almost 30 years now and I have owned several not so expensive and very expensive amps and cabinets including the Legendary JCM 900, a Plexi and 2 70's Marshall 4x12 cabinets as well as a 1960 Classic series 4x12 cabinet. So I would say I have a pretty good ear for tone and good sound and this little Cabinet ROCKS!!!! I'm in my 40's now and my back isn't what it used to be and it's light weight is a huge plus for me! Although there were no wheels, it was very easy on my back during load in and load out and it became even easier to manage after I put a set of Castor's under it! I'm not sure why this particular cabinet is getting such poor reviews (Maybe inexperienced kids are buying this cabinet and don't know what they are doing) but, with a little tweaking on the EQ on my Randall RM100M amp and using the foot switch to select between the dirty and clean channels through the amp only with no added effects and this cabinet sounds just as good as my old Marshall 4x12 cabinets did and it has been 100% reliable and flawless since I got this cabinet new last year and I have been playing through this cabinet weekend after weekend! I give this cabinet 5 out of 5 stars as you get all of the Marshall greatness for very little money! If your a musician on a tight budget (and who is isn't nowadays) and you want that famous Marshall sound, this is the cabinet for you!!!

"This Cab blew me away!! By one.... NOW!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
I use this cab with the MG100hdfx and it simply sounds awesome!! The tone is of typical marshall quality, with diverse sound. Together they are loud enough for any gigs as long as your not playing an arena!!! In our band the mg412a is superb, the best you can by for the money as i've heard the line 6 and hughes and kettler equivalent cabs.
Features
Good sound to the effects, with footswitch making the difference. 2 channel, Comes with marshakll speaker cable too which saves any hassle linking the two up with a long cable.
Ease of Use
Typically simple from marshall. Just take your time finding the perfect tone for you. It WILL be in there somewhere
Quality
Marshall quality is always outstanding
Value
The best that you can buy with that amount of money
Manufacturer Support
3 Year warranty is well worth sending off, it comes already with a one year

"Get one! you WON'T be disapointed!!!!!"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I may get the straight cab for a full stack.
Sound
I think is sounds great! It was an upgrade from a crate 4x12. The crate rattled if I turned up the bass on my amp, this marshall doesn't. I play hard rock/metal/classic rock and it covers it all. I did a gig with it and got many compliments on my sound. I'm running a 100 watt randall head thru this thing and it's KILLER!! It could be that the people who use a combo with less than 50 watts may not get those speakers moving enough to get any decent tone.
Features
2 things it needs. #1-casters. It's not very heavy but I installed wheels on it.#2-another input jack would have been nice, but it's not too bad.
Quality
Thick wood for being so lightweight. I plan on keeping mine for life. I've only done 1 gig so it's to early to tell how it'll hold up. It seems to be very sturdy for a $300 dollar cab.
Value
I think it's a great value compared to the ones built in England. Mine says "made in korea" but I'm not sure if they're all made there.
The Wow Factor
It's better than crate cabinets in my opinion. I was suprised a cab costing so little would sound so good.

"THE BEST AMP CABINET FOR $259 ANYWHERE!!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I expect to be satisfied with this cabinet forever.
Sound
I got this cabinet with an Ibanez TB100H amp head and the tone was awesome with just a guitar and no effects plugged in. Celestians make all the difference in the world. Can't beat the tone for this price!!
Features
It's an amp cabinet. It doesn't come with accessories.
Ease of Use
It's an amp cabinet. It doesn't have an "interface". It's plug and play. The great sounds come from my guitar playing coupled with the Celestian Speakers in the cabinet.
Quality
The quality is excellent. It's MARSHALL.
Value
Best value for the dollar in amp cabinets.
Manufacturer Support
Marshall is easy to reach.
The Wow Factor
It's a Marshall Cabinet. That's all the sex appeal any guitarist needs.

"small price, small amp, small sound, descent marshall tone."

Overall: 3 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
The tone of this cab is pretty descent, i would even say good even at low volumes. I play in a 5 piece metal band though so low volumes don't help me too much. I play a peavey 5150 head and when i crank it to play with the band, this cab cant keep up. It loses tonality and breaks up with palm muting at high volumes. It definitely doesnt havent the sound of a true marshall cab such as the 1960 model. Overall the sound is too small, cant stand up "literally" to other 4x12 cabs, its so small next to them!
Features
This cab is SUPER lightweight for a 4x12, usually i need a hand with carrying cabs but this one is just so light one person can easily handle it. The light weight is good for carrying but goes to show how flimsy the cab is.
Ease of Use
just plug it in baby
Quality
So far the cab has held up fine but then again i dont use it any more. It seems easy to break considering how light it is. I wouldnt use it on the road because of the sound, but it would last im sure.
Value
the cheap price of this amp does make it a value for those looking for tone at moderate volumes, althought in that case one might just go with a combo amp. If you need a bigger sound, you need a bigger cab. An inexpensive alternative would be the behringer 4x12, which costs about the same, is a lot bigger and louder, but is lacking in the tone department.
Manufacturer Support
im sure its fine
The Wow Factor
marshall is a credible name but this is one of their lowest end products soo...when someone sees this little cab next to a real marshall cab it isnt very desirable

"Marshalls are from great britan, youngster."

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
should be good for at least 10 more years
Sound
sounds decent, has a fairly neutral sonic quality and won't hinder your tone. For those of you who aren't too bright, or just inexperienced, good luck finding a USA made marshall. marshall its quite obviously a british company, thus the sought after british classic roar. eat it, chump. this amp is made in the same factory as all of your 1960 cabs, and your JCM heads, so what if it doesnt cost a fortune, its a genuine marshall.
Features
one in, thats all you need in a cab
Ease of Use
easy to use, just use a heavy speaker cable as opposed to your every-day guitar cable.
Quality
made fine, mines a few years old and shows wear, but who gives a d**n, nobody looks at your amp, just buy a dapper guitar.
Value
its cheap and it gets the job done right.
Manufacturer Support
marshall is legendary, but i'll probably never actually deal with them, if the cab is shot i'll just get a new one.
The Wow Factor
its a marshall, so its a classic. its not like you die for a cheap cab like this, but its a good product, and people will see it and know something about you.

"great amp, great sounds and great looks but not noisy enough for me!!"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
the thing i love most about this amp is it's looks and sounds.the thing i hate most about it is how loud it is, i think it would be better if it was 200 to 250 watts.
Features
i don't know if it includes acesories c'ause i havn't got it. the most use full features are the input sockets c'ause that's the only feature on it.i would of liked there to be a volume nob on the back aswell as the volume on the head.
Ease of Use
it is a very easy amp to work and the settings are very easy to change to my own taste im not sure how easy it is to use with my other products because i have only tried it.
Quality
this is a well made amp but should have wheels.
Value
i gave it an eight because i think it could of been a bit louder for it's money.
Manufacturer Support
im not sure but i would think they are friendly.
The Wow Factor
this amp does appeal to me very much!!

"dont buy this cab if you are a serious guitarist."

Overall: 2 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I owned it for three years but recently traded it in for a vintage ampeg "reverbrocket" cab from the sixties and seventies. I compared the two cabs sound side by side before making my trade and while the ampeg had warm bass and bell like treble, the marshall sounded extremely flat. The ampeg was also more responsive to dynamics, i.e. soft picking was quiet and hard strumming got very loud but never could peak out, and bridge strumming sounded distant while neck strumming sounded buttery. You really do just get what you pay for with cabs, the mg cab is cheap and sounds like it.
Sound
its not very dynamic, i played lots of different stuff through it and it just seemed like it couldn't get as quiet or as loud as i wanted it too.
Features
no real features, just one input jack.. kinda awkward..
Ease of Use
well... its a cab
Quality
it is really strong, its kinda ugly i think though, it looks kindof like "Rhino liner" and there is no metal on the whole thing.
Value
really its worth around 200 dollars, the mgs aren't even made in america i don't believe, i think they are assembled in some malaysian sweatshop. However, it really isn't bad for the price. It is probably pretty good for the price, but i suggest spending the extra money, if you are a serious guitarist, to buy a more serious product.
Manufacturer Support
marshall is a great company and dealing with them is not too much of a hassle.
The Wow Factor
its a marshall... so that is sexy... but the name is all that makes it sexy, it really looks pretty cheap, what with black plastic, black tolex, and black grill, it just looks very minimal, and sounds about the same.

amazing
Sound
this cab is great for the money. U use the MG100hdfx head with it and i've used it in miced gigs. Though it is not as clear as 1960A full size cabs its a good cheap alternative. As it is smaller it does mean that you can stack it ontop of the full 1960A cab. Overall a good cab with a good sound
Features
its loud
Quality
you could drop it down the stairs and it would still work
Value
great for the money
