"Don't sell your Model D just yet..."
A decent replacement for a broken Model D.
Sound
Don't fool yourself...my original Minimoog sounds better. It's basically a Moogerfooger filter pedal with keys.
Features
Lots of I/O, modulation routes, and control.
Quality
Electronics surrounded by solid wood...oh yeah. There were some initial QC issues that have since been rectified.
Value
You're paying top dollar partially for the name.
Manufacturer Support
You call, they answer.
The Wow Factor
Looks cool on stage I suppose. The hinged front panel is the bomb. I prefer the looks of the original however...lots more wood.
Musical Style:
Rock, Electronic

How long do I expect to be satisfied with this product? I will have a custom coffin made and it will be buried with me so that I can continue playing it in the Great Beyond.
Sound
NOTHING beats the warm sound of a Moog.
Features
Better than what the old version of the Mini Moog but still, for a knob and slider guy, there could be more. The only reason why I don't give it a 10 is becuase, even though it is faithful to the old tried and true Mini Moog, I have grown accustom to more knobs.
Quality
In the world of plastic prefab "modern" keyboards, this is a throw back from yesterday when keyboards were built to be abused. There were many times that someone accidentally dropped my old Mini Moog and it never seemed to bother it in the least. All though at it's price, I wouldn't want to test it, but I feel that it is just as sturdy as the old version was.
Value
Face it. it IS expensive. But so was the old Mini Moog back in the 80s. Still, it is the most expensive board that I have but the quality of the construction and even more, the quality of the sound; it is worth every penny.
Manufacturer Support
Rated it midway since I haven't dealt with anyone for repairs or servicing.
The Wow Factor
Come on now, any one who buys this board did it because they just HAD to have it. I mean look at the cost and the appeal to own a ledgend.
