For a great compact mixer you need a great gig bag and this one is excellent... ample padding inside, fit's snug and carry it on your shoulder into the gig... Although I've only had mine for a few weeks it seems well constructed and should get lots of life out it, also like the pocket on the front to hold the power cord, iPod and misc. cables...

Mackie does it again! This is a near-perfect mixer for bands playing small clubs. Great EQ, excellent effects, superior sound. All you could want for what it's designed for. I am seriously considering upgrading to the ProFX22 over my old Peavey 16 channel after using this mixer on club gigs where all I needed was 4 vocal inputs and a stereo input for break music.

Have a ProFx8 already but wanted a few more inputs while staying with a compact, easy to setup PA. Been a Mackie user since I bought my SM450 powered speakers years ago. I have an older 1604 and 1402 mixer which I still use to this day. I never hesitate when it comes to Mackie ! Their mixers have got me through hundreds of gigs and ( knock on wood) I have never had a problem!
