"AVOID ... unless you like "NOISE BOXES""

AVOID this pedal. I would suggest several others, notably the "Maxon CP-101" (expensive, but gets great reviews plus it's SIMPLE!), or the "Carl Martin Compressor/Limiter" (MORE expensive, but gets great reviews too; too many dials, for a compressor, UNTIL you study the user manual and see where they're going with their design theory, then they kind of suck you into their mindset...).
Sound
The "sound" is, in a word ... HARSE. This pedal is NOISY too .... very noisy. Tons of hiss. Also, a compressor is not supposed to color your tone, but simply supply varying levels of the ONE thing you want - compression. This thing acts like it wants to be some sort of neo-distortion/overdrive pedal. You have to bring the Level down so much that you end up losing all your sound. And forget that three-position switch ... minimal effect at best. Again, you don't want a compressor to do anything but COMPRESS, in a nice way.
Features
I love controls - WHEN they're appropriate. For a compressor, the simpler the better. This thing tries too hard to be alot of things ... and ends up NOT being what you want - namely, a good compressor.
Ease of Use
"Easy" .... well, yes i guess. The problem is that regardless of HOW you use it, it still sucks.
Quality
It's built well .... heavy & solid.
Value
The cost is ridiculous at $100 ... because it doesn't do what you want it to. So, i guess $1 would be too expensive too.
The Wow Factor
This baby's goin' BACK.
